Surprise!

I can't believe I haven't updated in over a week. Did anyone even notice my absence? Probably not. *I* didn't even notice...*chuckles*

Today I went to Collectormania, which was advertised yesterday on The One Ring.net, and saw Sala Baker (aka Sauron), Ray Park (aka Darth Maul) and the gorgeous and for some reason terribly giggly Anthony Stewart Head (aka Giles). Tony Head has the highest pitched giggle I have ever heard! It's just too adorable. But then, so is he. And he was wearing an earing to match his very spikey hair, which shouldn't have looked good but really did. God he's gorgeous. *laughs* There were lots of other people too, like Rutgeur Hower (from Blade Runner and a million other things) and David Prowse, who was the man in the Darth Vader suit, and tonnes of minor Star Wars characters, like Boba and Jango Fett, Admiral Akbar and some guy who flew an X-Wing. Those poor people had no one queuing up to see them, it was so very sad to see a 2 hour long line for Rutgeur, Ray and Tony, but no one at all for the others. Sala never had a long queue, but there was always someone waiting for his signature, which was nice. He's a really big guy, you can tell even when he's sitting down. But very sweet too. I might send in my picture to TheOneRing.net, we'll see.
I also spent WAAAY too much money on collectables -- I bought a Stargate SG-1 badge, two 'I love Middle Earth' buttons, the Dreaming statue series, and my big splurge (which cleaned out my bank account) was on a fabulous Jonathan Pryce autograph (with picture from Tomorrow Never Dies) and...ALL FOUR HOBBITS! Woooooohooooooooo! I have Elijah and Ian on one photo already, and Billy on a poster, but now I have all four beautiful Hobbits together, signed in gold pen on the night of the London premiere, with the picture being that of the four scared Hobbits at Weathertop. Yayyyy! *bouncebounce* So it was a very productive day. :)

I've finally converted my mother to worship at the altar of the Allmighty Neil Gaiman. She went to the book signing at Book Soup last sunday as a favour to me, since it was only 10 minutes from her house, and when she met Neil she instantly fell in love. Haven't we all. *grins* I asked her to tell him to sign the books (my hardcover 1st edition Stardust and extremely old and battered copy of Don't Panic) to Nevvie, since he liked my nickname so much, and he said 'Nevvie? How odd, I know a Nevvie in London...' and my mum said 'That's my daughter!' And then Neil started telling her about me (apparently very excitedly), about how I went to every signing in London and that I was 'such a cute, sweet girl'. YEAH! Neil thinks I'm cute! Go me! *does the Happy Nevvie dance* And then he and my mum started talking about how much they miss London, and how beautiful England is, blah blah biddy blah, and by the end of their conversation my mum had fallen completely in love. AND she thinks he's cute. Of course he's cute, he's lip-smackingly Gaimanlicious! *lol* At least now she understands why I've had such a mad crush on him for 10 years. :)

I have more people on my friends list, wah hey! Please give a big hello to [livejournal.com profile] ophelia666, [livejournal.com profile] deluin_niere, [livejournal.com profile] etesian, [livejournal.com profile] gilneas, [livejournal.com profile] silverowlwings, [livejournal.com profile] snowelf, [livejournal.com profile] sunfighter31, [livejournal.com profile] lisaofdoom, [livejournal.com profile] ladystained and [livejournal.com profile] trianne!
A special introduction must go to [livejournal.com profile] shortypenguin, who is just about the dearest, sweetest girl you could ever want to meet. And she is extra super special because she shares my birthday! Wheeeeee! So naturally she's a brilliant person. *grins*

I wish I was as popular in real life as I am on LiveJournal. Then I'd never be lonely.

I hope [livejournal.com profile] shiveringjemmy and [livejournal.com profile] bluerhapsody find some happiness soon. I feel terrible that they are so meloncholy and I can't do anything about it. I know [livejournal.com profile] chrystimd will be her usual cheerful self as soon as her man comes home, but until then I shall give her lots of loving hugs to make her feel better.
In fact, here is a *BIG SQUEEEEEEEZE* for all my wonderful friends. :)

Oh, before I forget, I'd like say THANK YOU for all the fantastic birthday messages (44 comments, woohoo! I'm such a comment whore *lol*) and kind things you said about my pictures. You're all just so wonderful. :))

Gosh, I've talked alot, haven't I. *laughs* I think I shall leave you now with a silly quiz. Cause it's fun. *grins*

Congratulations, you're a Pillywiggin, a trouping flower fae.
