It's autumn again, that marvelous time of year when the leaves burst into a riot of colour before commiting suicide. *grins*

One of my shoes was extremely squeaky today for no apparent reason, and I kept getting strange looks from people as I walked by. Well, stranger than usual anyway. I honestly don't understand why people have such a compulsion to stare at me, but stare they do. And gawp. And glare. Stupid people. *kicks them*
I'm sure they're all just jealous because they don't look like a Hobbit. Yes, that must be it. ;-)

Thanks everyone who gave me music suggestions! They were all fantastic, I can't wait to attack the record shops. *grins*
I also spent several hours downloading new music, and have loads of new things to listen to, all Celtic-themed. The new bands I found are: Beltaine (celtic/bluegrass folk), Slainte (traditional, mostly accoustic Irish folk), Trio Nocturna (Loreena Mckennit meets Enya's creepy sister, very Gothy), Gaelic Storm (very traditional Irish folk, was the band in Titanic, but don't hold it against them ;-) and yes [livejournal.com profile] wreibyn, I found some Great Big Sea (Celtic folk rock). :)
Tomorrow I will try and get some Lisa Gerrard, Miriam Stockley, Nightwish, Dead Can Dance and others on Kazaa to see if I like them, and if I do then it's off to HMV I go.

Oh, and I now have no less than *5* different versions of She Moved Through The Fair. I swear, everyone and their dog has covered this song. *laughs*

I was looking through some of my mp3 folders when I found a medley of music from American McGee's Alice, which if you don't know is a brilliant (and unbelievably creepy) computer game where an older and more deranged Alice has to save Wonderland once again from the Red Queen. The music is done by one of the musicians in Nine Inch Nails (not Trent Reznor, the other guy), and is fantastically spooky and weird. I was listening to it for five minutes and had to turn all the lights on in my house I got so scared. *laughs*
If anyone wants a copy I'll be happy to send you one. Just don't blame me if you have trouble sleeping that night. *grins*

Random question of the day: Why oh WHY do they make the benches at bus stops sloping downwards? You can't sit on them because you slide off, and you can't lean against them because it digs into your back. What, exactly, is the point?

I case I haven't said it already, I love Stephen Fry. I just thought I would share. *giggles*

Which woman of Shakespeare are you?

I am considering whether or not I want to submit my journal to the LJ Review. I think my journal is fun and interesting, and I'm pretty sure I'd get a good review, but I don't want to be told that I'm not actually all that interesting, because that would just depress me (even though I know they'd be lying ;-).

What do you all think? :)

My wonderful friends have been leaving great comments for me lately (and lots of them!), and I wanted to thank you all -- you've made this old Comment Whore very, very happy. *grins*
Keep it up kiddies! :D

Ooooh ooooohhh! Someone PLEASE buy me these Geektastic t-shirts! *bouncebounce*
This one, and this one, and especially this one!
Go on, you know you want to. *flutters eyelashes and smiles sweetly*

Random thought of the day: It's a funny old world, isn't it. :)

Borrowed from Velvetsun, here is a good quiz with lots of facts about yours truly : )

In case you're wondering, I'm listening to a very silly song about a dragon and his rather select culinary tastes. *grins*
