Collectormania Report!
May. 6th, 2003 01:41 amLalalalalala I hugged BILLY and he sang for me lalalala...
*giggles*
Here are all the important bits about my trip to Collectormania:
Lots of other fun stuff happened, like meeting up with the lovely
sheldrake, who came with her flatmates and were our own personal Paparazzi for the day, and watching X2 friday night, giving Trinny and Kia the opportunity to join my Nightcrawler obsession. Mmmmmmm Kurt. *G* And of course who could forget Trinny molesting her pillow and pretending it was her beloved Elijah -- the image of her squeezing the bottom of the pillow like it was Elijah’s bum will stay with me forever. *lol*
I'm so happy I got to spend this time with my friends before I leave. Seeing Billy and the others was just a bonus. And really, really big bonus. *grins impishly*

Here are all the important bits about my trip to Collectormania:
trianne is a Goddess and I adore her more than she will ever know. And she has the
sexiestmost adorably geeky son, who is incredibly tall and very Elvish, which is just too cute considering that his mum is the biggest Hobbit Wench in the world. *grins*hjartad (henceforth known as Kia). our other partner in crime, is just as sweet as can be, and is a total gigglemonster. I think she does it to attract men. *smirks* ;-)
- Sadly there were no giant standups of Nightcrawler or LOTR watches to be seen, which made me very sad, but I did manage to find Peter Wingfield's autograph (*winks at
glassapples and
mrs_puppethead, who are now insanely jealous, bwahahahaha ;-) and an X-Men poster with Kurt on it. Oh, and btw -- all you squealing fangirls who now adore my beloved fuzzy blue elf, remember: I SAW HIM FIRST. So hands off. :-P
- The first person I met was Corin Nemic, who plays Jonas Quinn on Stargate: SG-1, although I'm sure alot of you might know him better as Parker Lewis from Parker Lewis Can't Lose. I was absolutely gobsmacked and utterly unprepared for how NICE he was. The man is Niceness personified. He smiled his luminous smile at me, asked 'So what's your story?', and when I told him I wanted to say hello the day before (I met Trinny and Kia at the event on friday but I didn't stay) but he was looking 'too cute and intimidating' he laughed and said that I should have come over anyway and talk to him. He was flattered, I was blushing, and it was just the sweetest moment. We laughed at each other and had our picture taken, and I couldn't stop squeeing about him for the rest of the day. I couldn't believe how genuinely friendly he was. I wish I could have spent more time with him, he was just the nicest guy. :)
- After forcing Trinny to go swoon over Bruce Hopkins (Gamling the Old, who was actually not at all old, and rather tanned and dishy) we met Andy Serkis. Andy is the perfect Hobbit. I am so enamoured of his two little chipmunk teeth that stick out when he smiles, and his gorgeous hobbit curls. I wish they had photos of him to sign, instead of Gollum, because he's so cute. And I told him so. *grins* He said something like 'wow, that's so kind of you to say!' and giggled a bit, which made me want to pounce on him right then and there. *laughs* He posed for pictures, signed my photo 'to my precioussssssss' and I bounced away burbling happily.
- John Rhys Davies is a tickle fiend. He tickled all the girlies when posing for pictures to make them smile (and, one suspects, because he needed a bit of entertainment after all those tedious hours ;-) and was an absolute sweetheart. The poor man was quite obviously knackered and ready to collapse, but he refused to stop signing until everyone had seen him. What a guy. :)
- BILLEH. Oh, what can I say about my true love...except that I completely buggered up my 3 seconds with him and could barely keep myself from hyperventilating, which resulted in a gaspy, panting whiiiine, which was humiliating for me and probably quite terrifying for him. *laughs* The queue for him was so long that we didn't get to see him until almost 6pm, but it was, of course, worth the wait. At one point he walked down the queue to pose for pictures, and I got mine taken with Kia. I was flustered, squealing inside, and worried that in my one picture with him I would have an enormous double chin. He SQUEEZED ME around the waist. He winked playfully. He grinned alot. Guhhh.
When I finally got to the front I could barely speak, but I managed to stammer out my name, and he began to SING. Billy sang for me. I'm such a lucky bitch. *lol* I wanted to say something clever, something meaningful, something he wouldn't normally hear from an obsessed fangirl like me. But I said nothing. I giggled and squeed and when he finished writing I ran away, shouting 'Eeeeeeeeeee!' as I left. I know I scared him. Ah well. *laughs*
