My car has a name! And it is....FLOOP! *giggles*
I think it's quite a good name, don't you? ;-)
The Tony Awards last night was fun -- I know The Producers wasn't nominated this year, but it might as well have been, as the theme song of the night was definitely 'Keep It Gay'. *grins* And all I can say is, it's about bloody time! Men holding hands on stage, thanking their lovers on stage, kissing on stage...Hurrah! It made me feel so proud to be a member of the theatre community. We rock! :D
I wish I could see Hairspray. It looks like such an amazing show. And the girl who plays Tracey won the award for best actress, wooohoooo! There's hope for me yet. *laughs* No, seriously, she is me -- short, chubby, big curly hair -- yep, that's me. And of course we're both alto belters. She's me, only better. Damn her! *giggles* ;-)
An Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalan was there. Mmmm. He looked smashing in that blue velvet coat. Hugh Jackman was so cute, even with his hideous long hair. Thank god he'll be cutting it as soon as he stops filming Van Helsing. And Fritzie won an award! Michele Pawk, who played Fritzie and Frauline Kost in the '98 revival of Cabaret won for best featured actress in a play. Whooot!
I talked to
brandybuck on the phone for about an hour and a half last week, which was absolutely wonderful. She's such a delight! We giggled and squeed about many things, and she made silly voices at me and we had the best time. Ilovehersomuch. :)
And then she called me on saturday after meeting Neil Gaiman, (she talked to him about ME!) and I got to speak briefly with ickle
jrivka, the cheeky minx. *tickles* :-P
I'm not doing as well as I would like in my new flat. There's constant construction on the house behind me, so from about 7am-11pm (ugh) my ears ache from the high pitched drilling and pounding noises out my window. And my neighbour never seems to turn her bloody television off -- I tried to go to bed early (for me, anyway) last night, but was up past 2am because her telly was so loud it was making the walls shake. As you can imagine, I'm not exactly a happy camper. Also my gas isn't on, half the electrical sockets don't seem to work, and I can not seem to find where I plug in my phone anywhere. Grr. And just to add to my frustration, a new listing just went up a block away for a lovely studio that's a lot cheaper than mine, plus all the bills are paid by the owner. Arrrrrgghhhh. *bashes head against wall*
Anyone want to kidnap me and whisk me away to a better life? Oh go on. It'll be fun. *winks playfully*
