THE OSCAR PARTY
Mar. 1st, 2004 06:18 pmThis was truly the greatest night of my entire life.
To be in a room with a thousand cheering, screaming fans as our beloved finally won the recognition it deserves and made Oscar history was brilliant. Sharing such a perfect evening with one of my dearest friends was beyond compare. I stood just a few feet away from Dom, Elijah, BILLEH, PJ and Fran. I laughed, I cried, I squeed. A lot.
I'm still in shock, I think. I can't believe it's over. We have made such an end as to be worthy of remembrance, but still, it is an ending. Thankfully the road does indeed go ever on, and the friendships and memories I've made through this experience will last a lifetime.
The party was front page news in the newspaper this morning, can you believe it? And I might be on Access Hollywood tonight saying 'The white bus rules!', whatever that means. *G* What a party. What a night! I took lots of photos, and will try to post them by the end of the week, along with a very detailed report. (I'm too exhausted and numb to write one now.)
I'll just leave you with this teaser -- I was standing second row, centre stage the entire evening, and had the most divine view of Dom being a rockstar, and Billeh singing I LOVE YOU just to me. Meeeeee. *gigglegrin*
I still can't believe I was actually there. It seems so unreal.
CLEAN SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. :D
I'm so unbelievably happy. Who knew it was possible to feel such perfect joy? :)
