Apr. 6th, 2003 09:45 pmHappy happy birthday to my beloved
mrs_puppethead and the adorable
escadevotion! And welcome
bohemiangel, another fangirl who'll be joining the party at Collectormania next month. Whoot! Oooh, and speaking of Collectormania, even more nifty people are going now, including Alan Ruck, aka Cameron from Ferris Buller's Day Off! YEAH! Am so incredibly excited I could plotz. *giggles* (I probably will do something horribly embarrassing like bringing up my lunch when I meet Billeh. Ohhh Billeh. Please don't be upset if I spew on you, it's just a token of my eternal devotion, really! *lol*)
I've been listening to a terrific pop song by Amy Studt all day, that reminds me very much of Dawn Summers (so I know
thehush would love it), as well as the brilliant American McGee's Alice computer game, especially since in the video she's dressed a bit like her. It's really fluffy and angsty at the same time, which is fun. I'm also utterly addicted to Evanescence -- I've been downloading all their songs this weekend and liking them more and more with every listen. The lead vocals are so gorgeous, and it's about bloody time someone good appeared in contemporary music, because frankly nearly everything now is shite. Absolute shite. And people wonder why the only musicians I like are either dead or have been around for years. *chuckles* (Well, now I can say I like a modern band. Go me. ;-)
And on a slightly Buffy related theme...I found the coolest thing! Amber Benson and Christopher Golden have been working with the BBC to create an animated horror series set in early Victorian London. The animation is by Cosgrove Hall, who made Dangermouse and Count Duckula, and the voice acting is really quite excellent, although I'm slightly biased as the unbelivably sexxxxxxxy man who played the Marquis de Carabas in Neverwhere is one of the main characters. Hee. :) Amber and Christopher wrote it, and she's also directing the series. The music is also wonderfully spooky, it's really turning out to be quite a treat. Plus Amber posts to the Message Boards! Which I think is awfully nifty. Go HERE to experience the Ghosts of Albion. Very cool. :)
I have decided that
jrivka is bad for my health. *giggles* She brings out the NAUGHTY in me, which surely can't be good. Although it is ever so much fun. I even had a most bizarre dream involving me, Jori, Nightcrawler, and a batch of freshly made cookies. *laughs*
Also -- the delightful Miss Jori has agreed to be my Official Spankpuppet. Wheeeeeeeee! *pounceglomps and kisses her forehead happily* :D
Sometimes I think I'm too silly for my own good. Can this really be true?
Nahhh. :)

Re:
Date: 2003-04-06 01:22 pm (UTC)I saw Amy perform at the CBBC Prom in the Park last year, but it was a song that doesn't seem to be available online, just her and a piano. It was fabulous, and I really wish I could find it. Let's hope her album comes out soon so I can hear it again. *grins*
Psillyness is a wonderful thing. :D

Well, you have to pay for all the autographs, and when I was there last year the cheapest was still £10, and the big names were around 30 quid. So it will NOT be cheap. Especially since the whole thing is really just a big dealer's showcase, to get you to buy all kinds of delicious crap you never knew you desperately needed. *grins*

But mostly he's the geekycute shy boy in Ferris Bueller. :)

You should go check out the Ghosts of Albion message boards, Amber seems to update quite frequently there. I suppose I should really tell more Buffyfans about this, huh. *giggles*
