I'm just a perfectly marvelous girl...
Jun. 2nd, 2003 01:15 amI started moving things into my new flat today. I can't move in yet as the fridge and cooker still need to be cleaned and a few other things that my landlord promised to do haven't been done yet (of course), but I don't mind. I don't have my own computer yet so I'm not bothered about moving. *grins* And yes, there will be pictures, as soon as I can find a cheap place to get them scanned, or better yet, an inexpensive scanner. I have so many pictures to put online, I especially want to show off my candid photos of Alan Cumming and Billy Boyd. Mmmmm. I get so excited just writing their names. *lol*
I haven't mentioned my new car yet, have I -- how frightfully naughty of me! *giggles* It's a bright red used 2000 Hyundai Accent with glittery paint and a malfunctioning petrol gauge, which keeps telling me I'm running on empty even when I just filled up the tank. Ah well! At least it's mine, neh? :)
I need a name for my car, could you please help me? So far the only things I've come up with are Ferdinand and Mr Sparkle. *G* I need names people! LOTR, Gaiman, Tori-related...anything you think fits me and my funky car. Something cute and geeky, just like me! *grins*
Today I joined my first LJ rpg, woohoo! Everyone should read
kit_kat_klub, as it is surprisingly compelling and addictive. It's my beloved
brandybuck's baby and she has allowed me to play one of the delightfully wicked Kit Kat Girls, even though my creative writing skills are absolutely atrocious. *laughs* She's so good to me. :)
I suppose I should go to bed now, and stop refreshing
kit_kat_klub's page, shouldn't I. *grins sheepishly* See? I told you it was addictive. ;-)

Date: 2003-06-02 01:23 am (UTC)I thought about Pippin (of course!), but it isn't a Pippin-y sort of car. (It would need to be more whimsical. ;-) It's more Merry-ish. I did consider Brandybuck though...Hmmmm.
I had a borrowed car when I was a teenager called Dexter. I loved giving such a geeky name to a convertible. I defy convention! Bwahahahaha. *grins*
Re: Driven
Date: 2003-06-02 01:24 am (UTC)Arkady? That's interesting...*giggles* :-P
You're such a silly monkey. *squish*
Re:
Date: 2003-06-02 01:38 am (UTC)I'm still pretty amused about Joseph's car, Rosie. I thought about naming mine Meriadoc, but a sporty blue car just didn't fit the situation. I think of a Meriadoc car as like... A VW Bus or a beat up lowrider... A pothead car, lol.
My sister used to have a car the exact color of blue m&m's, so I named it The Blue M&M. Original, huh?

Date: 2003-06-02 01:45 am (UTC)Hello there random person! *grins and waves cheerfully*
I was thinking of Simarillion names as well, especially Elvish phrases with 'tinta' in them, for the glitteriness of the car. I like Belthil very much, thank you! *hugs*
Have you just stumbled upon my humble abode or have you been lurking for some time? If the latter, why didn't you say hello earlier, hmmm? I do so enjoy meeting new people. *G*

My bloody web AIM just crashed, that's all! I was going to give you a big winkyface and show that I was being sarcastic, but I couldn't as the program died. Please don't be unhappy!
Although if it gets me presents you can carry on being upset. ;-)

Date: 2003-06-02 07:50 am (UTC)[Maaaan, I suck at names. I've spent the last 36 hours trying to name a new D&D character, so my name-bestowing skills are spent. Anyhow, whatever you name it, keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't become Thing That Doesn't Work Even After You Thump It. *is evil Voice of Doom*]
Wait, I got it--Bill!! Bill the Pony!!

Nev, luv, you're in American now. If you say things like "cooker" and "petrol" they won't know what you mean. But then again, maybe you should, because anyone who DOES know what you mean is probablly pretty cool. If they have no idea, then you know they're just not ment to be a friend.

Date: 2003-06-02 08:08 am (UTC)Now, about naming your car..
What about "Mohammed my friend" or "Father Lucifer?" *giggles*
or "The Bachelorette!" But then, people might think you had named it after the t.v. show, which is probably not the recognition your car is looking for.
I personally think Simon is a great little geeky name!

Kindler, or better: Kindler of Fire.
Haggas *bursts out laughing in the computer lab* if that's how you spell it! the Scottish dish!
or you could just name it... "The Scottish Dish", may refer to Billy Boyd ^^

I'm still in London, dammit. I refuse to admit the blindingly obvious truth! *whinge* ;-)
Ye gods, you read that entry about Ikea boy? *blushes with embaressment* No, I haven't seen him again. I do need to go back though, to buy some cheapo standing lamps, as there's no light in my flat, except in the kitchen. Won't be keeping an eye out though, and even if I was, it'd be impossible to find him in the warren that is Ikea.
