Aly and Kara went back to Canada today.

I got home from Heathrow a little while ago, and am unconsolable -- I can't believe they've gone, and I'm all alone again. I cried for 20 minutes after saying goodbye, and can't stop snuffling and being sad. (Perhaps I should stop listening to sad Tori songs and Jesse's song from Toy Story 2 -- that one makes me cry even I'm happy)
I honestly don't know what I will do without them. I know I will still be able to talk to them everyday online, and it'll be great fun having them as fellow Ravenclaw professors at Hogwarts Online, but it's not the same as actually laughing and playing and just being with them.
All my friends go away. And I hate being alone.

I'm sorry to be so depressing, but I am very sad right now. Hopefully it won't last. : )

I've also decided to get a paid account, so I can have my friends text me on my mobile, and also so I can find even more friends, maybe even some who live near me. Won't that be nice. *G*

The unicorn is actually my sad icon, but as I don't feel unhappy very often it doesn't get shown off as much as the others. *grins*

I think it is always sad when good friends leave, even when you are on-line every day. Natural to cry.

Hasn't Hogwarts proven such a magical place even outside the books? A good number of people to whom I have grown very close this last 2 years are people that I have been role-playing with in hp-hogwarts. We moved from on-line friendships to becoming friends in 'real life'. What a treasure.

Its from the film version of The Last Unicorn, a book written by Peter S. Beagle. And a marvelous book it is too. :)
The Last Unicorn is quite possibly my very favourite film, I've been in love with it for twenty years now. Gosh, that is a long time. *giggles*

It truly is sad when you meet someone IRL that you've been looking forward to meeting for so long, and then you grow so close to them and they have to leave. That's a very good reason why I'd be scared to meet anyone from online, because I don't know how I'd possibly say goodbye. lol, besides the only person who lives near me is Susan and she's like 16 or 17 years older than me. So...I don't think she'd appreciate me much ;) hehe

I must admit... ever since I got home I have had this terrible feeling in the pit of my stomache like I am not supposed to be here... it's so strange... the entire time I was there, I kept thinking it would be sooo good to finally get home and be in my own familiar surroundings, but now that I am here, it no longer feels familiar.. i guess I should give it more than 12 hours, but I saw your post and just thought I'd let you know..

I know you're really just missing me and my fabulous house (especially the bugs by the dvd cabinet. *LOL*) :)

well, we don't have the critters, but i can tell you i already wish i wasn't here.. how quickly you forget the bad things about a place.. my family are already driving me crazy!! we had to go out today and add me to Kirsten's insurance, but we had to do about 100 other errands as well... none of which involved me, yet i still had to go... oh for crap sakes.. you know.. i said before taht England was too far from my family, but i think it just might be far enough... I am definitely going to try and come back next summer.. :D and if things go the way I hope, I might just move there permanently because i will be working there... thank god this is my last yr of uni!!!!!!!!! :D
