Was going to write a very long and detailed entry about my marvelous evening with Neil Gaiman.

However.

I am now extremely tired (I didn't get home until about 12.30am) and can not write anything very coherent at the moment.

To summarize:

Neil is wonderful.
Neil has the most beautiful speaking voice.
Neil reads his novels with perfect characterization and humour.
Neil looks cutest when he is disheveled and his leather jacket is falling slightly off.
Neil answers even the most tedious questions in a new and interesting way.
Neil is terribly witty.
Neil signed my rare Sandman t-shirt in bright silver pen.
Neil still has my pen!
Neil is a genius and I adore him. :)

I met [livejournal.com profile] shiveringjemmy, [livejournal.com profile] storme and new friends [livejournal.com profile] hunkyscotsman and [livejournal.com profile] cherubiel at the event, had fun sitting with them and being silly, and afterwards ate some delicious neo-japanese food at a noodle bar. Yum.

So that was my evening with Neil and the LJ crew. Whooopeeeeee! :)

You really must! He is really one of the best and most imaginative creators working in the world today. His Sandman, Books of Magic, Neverwhere, Amercian Gods etc... has created new vessels for archetypal forces to express themselves.

Plus, like many other writers who have found success slowly rather than overnight, he is someone who is very down to earth and accessible as Nevvie has discovered.

I am so jealous. I wish he would come to somewhere in Maine, but I seriously doubt it. In fact, I only know 1 place within driving distance that has Sandman comics! Grrg. I'll just keep on pining. Hopes yous hads fun!

That's what [livejournal.com profile] shiveringjemmy said! :D

Maybe I should let him keep it so it can inspire him...'Nevvie's pen...hmmm, that sounds like a story...' ;-)
