(no subject)

There couldn't possibly be a wider contrast between today and yesterday. :)

I slept in till 2pm, which I think helped quite a bit to make me feel better, and watched some of my favourite Star Trek: The Next Generation and Buffy episodes on DVD. Yes, I am that geeky. *grins* I went to the market, got some delicious nibbly things to munch, and came home to watch Popstars: The Rivals. I know I shouldn't like Popstars, Pop Idol, any of those shows, but I can't help myself, they're such compulsive viewing! And this time I really like all of the singers who made it into the final 10 (for the boys anyway, they kicked out some fantastic girls that should have been in the band, but oh well), and I know I will be very upset if my favourites don't get into the band or a recording contract. Anyway, I don't want to babble on about it since it's a UK only thing, but it was a great show tonight.

Then I watched my favourite episode of Red Dwarf, Quarantine. Yayy for Mr Flibble! How I adore that ickle fluffy penguin. :) Is it wrong to think that Rimmer in a red and white gingham dress and army boots looks sexy? *giggles* Yes, it probably is, but I don't care! I think Chris Barrie is a honey anyway, but for some reason when he pretends to be insane by talking to a penguin hand puppet and wearing a dress (complete with Pippi Longstocking blonde pigtails no less) he just becomes unbelievably sexy. Maybe I'm a just a freak. *lol*

After more delightful episodes of Red Dwarf (when is it coming out on DVD!) I wandered upstairs and pounced on the computer. Not literally of course. Well, maybe just a small leap. *grins* Found out all the friends who had been depressed are feeling better, which cheered me up very much, and that out dear wreibyn is finally going to get a better job! Go Kara! *high five*

Best of all, as I was browsing random LJ profiles of people who listed 'acting' as an interest, I stumbled upon the journal of my best and most beloved friend from university, ashfae! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! *does the Happy Nevvie dance*
I literally squealed with delight when I found her, I just couldn't believe it! What an incredible end to my day. Am just so astoundingly happy to have her again in my life. :))

I also made some new friends today, please say give a round of applause to la_gramarye, found through Ashfae, and lillydrag, found through alabastard, who's coolness can not be underestimated. *grins*

And speaking of friends, I want to thank you all so very much for the wonderful comments you left for me in my last entry. You helped me remember that I am a worthy human being, and that I have many fantastic people who care about me. All your words of advice, wisdom and random silliness cheered me up greatly, and I am truly amazed by the heartfelt responses I received. Thank you, thank you, thank you. *hugs for all* :)))

In honour of Ashfae, I have decided to post some pictures that I took about an hour ago with Mr Webcam, so she can remember what I look like. *grins*

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Michael Palin....

I just watched the first episode of Michael Palin's new travel series Sahara. I can't believe he was willing to spend nearly a year in the middle of the most inhospitable place on earth for fun. He's insane! But still sooooooooooooo cute. *drool* *lol*

As a special treat, I hearby allow all my friends to see a very silly picture of me with His Royal Paliness taken 6 years ago. Wow, has it really been that long? And yet I look exactly the same. *G*

What is it with me posting all these pictures lately? Not so long ago I would never let anyone see my picture, not even my closet friends, I was so worried and ashamed of what they might think of me. But now I can't stop! I even took some this afternoon of me wearing glasses because I felt like it. The strange thing is, while I don't mind showing off my webcam photos, I absolutely loathe having pictures taken of me with a proper camera. I always end of looking terrible, I really don't know why webcam pics are better. I suppose because they're so blurry, they fade out all my 'unpleasant' features. *grins*
