You know what's weird? I actually let a character in an online RPG I play in upset me yesterday. *laughs* I know it's ridiculous, but I did. I know I'm far too sensitive, but even when my character is insulted I feel like its me they're really attacking. Luckily the feeling didn't last very long, and I laughed it off after a few minutes, but for a moment I felt really hurt. I'm just so silly sometimes. :)

You know what's weird? I actually let a character in an online RPG I play in upset me yesterday.

It's not that weird really. We can get very identified with characters and role-play get quite intense. Number of times I have had to step back a bit and say 'it's only a game'.

It's really weird though to be affected by an online rpg in such a way though -- I've never felt slighted when I LARP or anything like that...I think I just wasn't expecting it, and that's why it scared me.
