It's autumn again, that marvelous time of year when the leaves burst into a riot of colour before commiting suicide. *grins*
One of my shoes was extremely squeaky today for no apparent reason, and I kept getting strange looks from people as I walked by. Well, stranger than usual anyway. I honestly don't understand why people have such a compulsion to stare at me, but stare they do. And gawp. And glare. Stupid people. *kicks them*
I'm sure they're all just jealous because they don't look like a Hobbit. Yes, that must be it. ;-)
Thanks everyone who gave me music suggestions! They were all fantastic, I can't wait to attack the record shops. *grins*
I also spent several hours downloading new music, and have loads of new things to listen to, all Celtic-themed. The new bands I found are: Beltaine (celtic/bluegrass folk), Slainte (traditional, mostly accoustic Irish folk), Trio Nocturna (Loreena Mckennit meets Enya's creepy sister, very Gothy), Gaelic Storm (very traditional Irish folk, was the band in Titanic, but don't hold it against them ;-) and yes
wreibyn, I found some Great Big Sea (Celtic folk rock). :)
Tomorrow I will try and get some Lisa Gerrard, Miriam Stockley, Nightwish, Dead Can Dance and others on Kazaa to see if I like them, and if I do then it's off to HMV I go.
Oh, and I now have no less than *5* different versions of She Moved Through The Fair. I swear, everyone and their dog has covered this song. *laughs*
I was looking through some of my mp3 folders when I found a medley of music from American McGee's Alice, which if you don't know is a brilliant (and unbelievably creepy) computer game where an older and more deranged Alice has to save Wonderland once again from the Red Queen. The music is done by one of the musicians in Nine Inch Nails (not Trent Reznor, the other guy), and is fantastically spooky and weird. I was listening to it for five minutes and had to turn all the lights on in my house I got so scared. *laughs*
If anyone wants a copy I'll be happy to send you one. Just don't blame me if you have trouble sleeping that night. *grins*
Random question of the day: Why oh WHY do they make the benches at bus stops sloping downwards? You can't sit on them because you slide off, and you can't lean against them because it digs into your back. What, exactly, is the point?
I case I haven't said it already, I love Stephen Fry. I just thought I would share. *giggles*

Which woman of Shakespeare are you?

Yes, definitely. They like to stare at we hobbitish types. On my way out of the theatre the second time I saw LotR, I swear a bunch of kids were staring at me. *grins* My friend said they were probably saying, "Look, mom! A real-life, slightly taller than average Hobbit!"
;)

*laughs*
I always got stared at when I went to the cinema to see LOTR. Of course, there are probably two very good explanations for this:
1) I was covered in LOTR merchansise -- buttons, pins, t-shirt, rings, etc. I stood out quite appallingly. *giggles*
2) It would have been the 12th/24th/36th etc time I'd been to see LOTR at the same cinema, and all the staff would be wondering if I was insane. *grins*

Could you imagine Bilbo's speech? "My dear Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Biggunses..."

*snorts loudly*
Now you're making me want to write an appallingly bad fanfic of Dildo's Long Erected Porno Party. *giggles*
You're such a bad, bad girly! *spank* :D

I thought you liked the caress of a firm hand on your backside. :-P
Surely someone has already written this fanfic, and populated it with screaming Mary Sues.
It's a pretty damn funny title, if I do say so myself. *smug grin*

Yayyyy Pervy Hobbit Fanciers! *high fives myself* *lol*
I'm not a fan of Hobbit porn either, but that doesn't mean I can't drool copiously over my favourite characters. *G*

Go Helena~

I know, I had to stop playing too because I started to have disturbing dreams. They really should put a warning on the box about that sort of thing. *G*
BTW I've been meaning to ask you where that icon picture is from -- two of my friends use it and I'm really curious what it is. :)
It's from Amelie!
Oh and I'm addicted to Trio Nocturna now. Thank you ^_^

Stephen Fry...mmmm...Jeeves. ;)
and people stare at me, too. I don't look like a hobbit, though. maybe I look like a Lady of Gondor. *grin*

The Alice game creeps me out, and I haven't even had the chance to pay much attention to the music. It's creepy in a good way, then?
no subject
Unbelievably creepy. Don't let the game idle and listen to the music if you're alone in the house.
Seriously. It's gorgeous and beautifully layered with all kinds of different sounds (although the most pervasive are the strings and spoooooky jack in the box type noise *shudder*) and is wonderful to listen to, but not when you're alone on a dark night. :)
muuuuuusic!
I want a copy!!!! :(
Re: muuuuuusic!
Yayy! You're the only person brave enough to ask so far. *grins*
I'll email it to you forthwith. *squish*
Stephen Fry = Yummy.
Ahem. Anyways, the other stuff looks interesting..may have to take a look :) And may I say again how TERRIBLY jealous I am that you met Neil Gaiman. *is envious* ;)
*Squishes you*
Anfieeeeeee!
Hey you! *pouncetacklesquish*

Tee hee! Sorry for spouting off in your journal, but I'm a silly obsessed fan, and had to go ga-ga once I heard them mentioned.

Please don't apologize! I appreciate all kinds of fangirl swoonage y'know. *grins*
Your glowing praise has made me really want to find some of their songs -- I couldn't find any on Kazaa, and didn't have time to look them up on mp3.com tonight, but will definately do so tomorrow. Wheeee! :D
