Oct. 23rd, 2002 02:30 pmAnother day, another icon.
Is this one better than the Richard from Neverwhere picture I used last night? Probably not, as even less people will know Monkey Island. Well,
cat_irix knows who Guybrush is, and probably thinks I'm extremely odd for making an icon for him. *G*
If you'd like to see a truly excellent comic version of the best computer game ever, please go here. :)
Had a most peculiar dream last night. Or rather, this morning, in that strange dreaming place where you know you're dreaming but are still involved with the story and think it's real.
I dreamed about Frodo (not Pippin! I know, most bizarre) fighting Orcs by the Anduin, but for some reason his screaming fangirls were there as well, watching him fight and eating popcorn on the riverbank. And Frodo had to worry about them being attacked, and kept telling them to hide, but they didn't listen, and just giggled at him. And he wasn't using Sting, but my kitchen knife that says 'Sainsburys' on it. And probably most surreal of all, he wasn't stabbing with the knife as one normally does with a sword, but slicing them in half, cutting through Orcs like butter. No wait, most surreal of all was when some English footballers showed up, and Frodo sliced them in half as well. And a coach shouted at a newly halved player, saying something about how you can't play with only half a foot...And still the fangirls were there, watching and giggling.
Most bizarre. :)

Ah'm booored. *mopes around like a sad Pippin lass*

Re: I have been meaning to ask
Date: 2002-10-23 11:03 am (UTC)There are some sci-fi shops that sell converted copies, or you can buy the video from the UK and convert it to NTSC yourself.
Otherwise there isn't much choice I'm afraid, it was never officially released in the US, so every copy is either illegal or imported (or both :).
I do happen to have a US compatible version, but it's in a box somewhere at my mum's house. At least, I think it's there -- she just moved and may have thrown it away. I'll ask if you like. :)
