Nov. 15th, 2002 10:06 pmOhmygod.
I just watched the new episode of Buffy. I'm still in shock.
I can't believe how brilliant and terrifying this episode was. I can't believe how well written and witty it was. I can't believe they killed Jonathan!
This is without a doubt the best episode since 'Once More with Feeling', and more than makes up for the lacklustre quality of most of the other episodes so far this series. Am just gobsmacked by the sheer audacity of it, setting up such a monumental (and scary) storyline, that is sure to turn the Scooby Gang's world upside down.
I absolutely loved the psychology student vampire, his dialogue was some of the best I've ever heard, and the actor was fabulous too, so non-chalant and tremendously cool. Willow's talk to 'Tara' was heartbreaking, and even though you knew things weren't what they seemed, the ending really was shocking.
And poor, poor Jonathan. I've always liked him, ever since he was just a nameless student walking through Sunnydale corridors, and somehow always ending up in the middle of the Scoobies' adventures. Why do all my favourite minor characters get killed off for no good reason? I sobbed uncontrollably when Agent Pendrell died on The X-files, he was such an adorably geekycute Scully admirer, and I always squeed with delight when he was in an episode. And then they go and shoot him for no reason at all. Why why why! It's always the geekycute ones that get bumped off too. So unfair. *sniff*
Anyway. Just wanted to rant a bit about that. I hope Buffy continues to surprise and entertain me this season.
I forgot to mention it yesterday, so please wish
scarletmacaw a very happy belated birthday. *squeeeeeeeze* :)
I'm going to the midnight showing of Harry Potter tonight, wah hey! *does the Happy Nevvie dance*
Am most looking forward to Kenneth Branaugh's performance as Lockhart, and more Snapey goodness. Oh, and hearing Parseltongue! Yayyyyy!
Here's a fun questionnaire that lots of people seem to be doing, and so should you! Show your love for the Nevvie, you know you want to. *grins*
I especially want to know the answers to the personal questions...hehehehe...;-)

2. Do I remind you of any characters on TV?
3. If you could rename me... what would my name be?
4. Have you ever had a dream about me?

6. If you just met me how old would you guess I am?
7. Am I huggable?
8. If you could give me anything... what would it be?
9. If you could promise me anything.. what would it be?
+ Personal +
1. Am I ugly, average, decent, good looking, beautiful, hot, etc?

Hmmm... I would have thought of myself as more Tolkien conservative, but I suppose my liberal nature spills over into my fanaticism. *G*
