Nov. 15th, 2002 10:06 pmOhmygod.
I just watched the new episode of Buffy. I'm still in shock.
I can't believe how brilliant and terrifying this episode was. I can't believe how well written and witty it was. I can't believe they killed Jonathan!
This is without a doubt the best episode since 'Once More with Feeling', and more than makes up for the lacklustre quality of most of the other episodes so far this series. Am just gobsmacked by the sheer audacity of it, setting up such a monumental (and scary) storyline, that is sure to turn the Scooby Gang's world upside down.
I absolutely loved the psychology student vampire, his dialogue was some of the best I've ever heard, and the actor was fabulous too, so non-chalant and tremendously cool. Willow's talk to 'Tara' was heartbreaking, and even though you knew things weren't what they seemed, the ending really was shocking.
And poor, poor Jonathan. I've always liked him, ever since he was just a nameless student walking through Sunnydale corridors, and somehow always ending up in the middle of the Scoobies' adventures. Why do all my favourite minor characters get killed off for no good reason? I sobbed uncontrollably when Agent Pendrell died on The X-files, he was such an adorably geekycute Scully admirer, and I always squeed with delight when he was in an episode. And then they go and shoot him for no reason at all. Why why why! It's always the geekycute ones that get bumped off too. So unfair. *sniff*
Anyway. Just wanted to rant a bit about that. I hope Buffy continues to surprise and entertain me this season.
I forgot to mention it yesterday, so please wish
scarletmacaw a very happy belated birthday. *squeeeeeeeze* :)
I'm going to the midnight showing of Harry Potter tonight, wah hey! *does the Happy Nevvie dance*
Am most looking forward to Kenneth Branaugh's performance as Lockhart, and more Snapey goodness. Oh, and hearing Parseltongue! Yayyyyy!
Here's a fun questionnaire that lots of people seem to be doing, and so should you! Show your love for the Nevvie, you know you want to. *grins*
I especially want to know the answers to the personal questions...hehehehe...;-)
1. What song (if any) reminds you of me?
2. Do I remind you of any characters on TV?
3. If you could rename me... what would my name be?
4. Have you ever had a dream about me?
5. Do you think I'm a virgin?
6. If you just met me how old would you guess I am?
7. Am I huggable?
8. If you could give me anything... what would it be?
9. If you could promise me anything.. what would it be?
+ Personal +
1. Am I ugly, average, decent, good looking, beautiful, hot, etc?
2. Would you ever kiss me?
3. Have you ever considered asking me out?
4. Do you ever think about me offline?
5. If we spent a day together... where would we go and what would we do?
6. If you could describe me in one word... what would that word be?
7. Do you/have you ever had a crush on me?
8. When we first met, what were your thoughts?
9. If you had to describe to someone who I am and what I am like, what would you tell them?
10. What are my faults?
11. My strengths?
+ Everybody +
1. Do you wish we were closer?
2. State here your completely honest opinion of me.

Hmmm... I would have thought of myself as more Tolkien conservative, but I suppose my liberal nature spills over into my fanaticism. *G*

Re: She adores me tra la la la laaaaaaaaa...:D
Date: 2002-11-16 02:28 am (UTC)But y'know what? Whenever I mention Aaron in my other diary, which Ariela reads, she leaves notes about how she bonds and understands and misses him too, and I just want to smack her. She was a good friend of mine too, but I still just hate that she took Aaron's attention away from me, and so overwhelmingly. Whenever she says something like that, I just want to scream "I had him first, you wench!" *sygh* Petty, evil, but I can't help it. Aaron's always going to be a sore point, methinks.
*huggles*
Date: 2002-11-16 09:04 am (UTC)What's your other diary?
Did he ever even go out with Ari, or was it just that they were attached at the hip?
You are not being petty and evil, you can't help the way you feel. *hugs you tight*
I'm sure you knew how jealous *I* was of her, but that doesn't make me a bad person. And your feelings are so much stronger and more worthy than mine.
Re: *huggles*
Date: 2002-11-16 03:45 pm (UTC)Nope, he never went out with Ariela. And it wasn't so much they were attached at the hip as she glued herself to his side. I mean that seriously; I spent a lot of time with Aaron, but we both still spent time with other people too, and it was a mutual thing. Ariela just glued herself there, for literally eight months after she met him I never once was able to get so much as five minutes alone with him! Fer cryin' out loud!!
I feel petty and evil, though. I mean, she was my friend too, though she's not exactly now. (long story) But whenever she tries to bond with me over Aaron, I just want to kick her and say "No, no, you don't know how I feel, you have no idea what it was like from my perspective, go away." Grrrrr.
*sheepish gryn* He really was adorable, wasn't he? Heh. Poor boy had no idea how many people were smitten with him. You should've seen his eyes bug out when I told him how I felt last May, it was so cute, and he was so sweet about it all.
