Nov. 21st, 2002 09:50 pmGrr. Arrghh!
Am extremely annoyed with my voice coach right now. She has signed me up (without asking me) to sing in her private student's concert saturday night, and I am not happy about it. I'm probably going to miss meeting some LJ friends, like
caersidi, and the Popstars: The Rivals final (someone PLEASE vote Keith for me!). Oh, and it's 2 and a half hour trip each way just to sing one song that I HATE, and probably get stuck at Waterloo station all night because I'll miss the last train home. I am so pissed off about this, but there's nothing I can do. Le sigh. *grumblemumble*
My beloved
mrs_puppethead had front row seats to a Tori Amos concert last night.
Did I say beloved? I meant despised enemy. *giggles* Am wildly jealous, but she bought me a tourbook (HURRAH!), so I forgive her for not bringing me too. *grins*
Last night there was an excellent programme on BBC4 about the amazing career of David Attenborough, and it was hosted by Michael Palin! Wheee!
Two of my favourite people, together at last. What bliss! *G*
On the train this morning I was stared at by an old man, whom I swear never blinked, and kept muttering to himself. Oh, and he had a terribly evil grin. It was extremely spooky, and I had to fight the urge to just poke him in the eye. *laughs* Luckily he was only on the train for a few stops, but it really creeped me out, and the rest of the day I kept worrying that people were going to start grinning wickedly at me...*eeep*
Attention Billyfans! If you haven't heard this adorable soundclip of our shagmonkey talking about the first time he met Orlando Bloom, you must go now! It's soooooooooo cute. His voice is just...ohhhh, god, amazing. *melts into puddle of sticky goo* :D
I need something good to read -- recommendations please? Something to amuse me would be much appreciated. :)

Which Neil Gaiman Book are You?

Could there be any doubt that this was my book? I love Aziraphale and Crowley so much, it's amazing how an angel and a daemon can not only be best friends, but my best friends too. *G*

Date: 2002-11-21 09:12 pm (UTC)As for the weird guy on the train, mayhap he was a wizard! You don't have any unusual scars anywhere, do you?

I *do* have a scar on my forehead actually -- a big scar in my left eyebrow, where my two eyebrow piercings were. At least, that's the story I've been told...;-)

Date: 2002-11-22 07:11 pm (UTC)You saw it silly! Didn't you? I got it done twice, one in NYC and once in LA.
Actually, I saw the guy who did it in NY on tv about two years ago (this is a cool story) -- I was watching a documentary about people who think they're vampires, and the growing 'threat' to society, and they started interviewing this performance artist who stuck nails and other long, sharp things in his body during his show, and offered his blood to drink to the audience members. I thought to myself, 'hey, he looks familiar, I wonder if he was in the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow, or something else I might have seen him in', and then they showed him going to work, and lo and behold, it was the Andromeda Piercing Parlour in the East Village. *grins*
I am still so amazed I let a man who bleeds himself for fun touch me. *laughs*

Re:
Date: 2002-11-22 07:39 pm (UTC)Did you get it done at Andromeda or the 'With or Without Pain' place? (What did I get done there? Was it just my ears? I can't remember either. *laughs*)
I should start telling these stories in my journal, I'm sure everyone would love to know more about my exciting trips to the 'With or Without Pain' shop. *giggles*

Re:
Date: 2002-11-22 07:45 pm (UTC)Do it do it! *maniacal laughter*
I'd love to read it actually, we could do entries about each other, and link to them, and everyone will get the gossip about our naughty real lives...bwahahahahahaaa...;-)
