Wheeeeeeee!
What a fantastic day! *bouncebounce*
I made new friends, saw two celebrities, and had fun making a complete and utter mess of resteraunt table! Whooot! *laughs*
Okay, enough with the exclamation marks already. ;-)
I went into Kentish Town to meet some LJ friends, and was absolutely stunned to see the gorgeous, talented, beautiful (did I mention gorgeous) ALAN CUMMING walking towards me!! AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! It was so quick, I didn't have time to faint or even drool, but it was definitely him. Ohhh he's so pretty. Yumyumyum. So that was certainly a brilliant start to my day. :)
I spent about 4 hours in the pub, talking with various people, but mostly the adorable
trukkle, who is always incredibly friendly and wonderful. I met some new people, like
kurtbatz (so goth it hurts *grins*) and
cubey (who is totally mad and therefore I like him alot ;-), and the beautiful
xendragon, who thinks I'm 'lovely' (*blushes happily*), and I think she's fabulous too -- alot quieter than I thought she would be, but very sweet and charming. Also met the incredibly cute
ruination, who gave me a pretty bracelet of purple stars (yayy!) and I gave her a Hello Kitty stamp set, which she seemed to like very much, and her boyfriend Glis, who likes anime alot and is therefore very cool. Ruin is just as impish and adorable as I thought she would be, I can't wait to spend more time with her. Maybe I'll go to that strip club on tuesday with her and Xen...*chuckles*
Also met lots of other people who's names I'm afraid I don't really remember at the moment, but they were all very friendly, so hopefully I will talk with them more next time.
After the pub we went to a chinese restaurant in Chinatown (surprisingly enough), where I proceeded to decimate the paper tablecloth for no apparent reason, tearing and shredding it and throwing bits at the unsuspecting people sitting next to me (i.e
trukkle and
timmypup). Am so happy I was sitting next to Tim, as we bonded (at last!) over Star Trek geekiness. I haven't had anyone to obsess over the finer points of Star Trek physics with in ages, it felt so good to waffle on about time travel and transporters and continuity errors in Enterprise, which just proves what a sad, sad fangirl I really am. *laughs*
The dinner was good, although I couldn't really eat any of the main course, as it was mostly spicey, but the starters were very tasty, and
cubey and I discovered a mutal passion for crispy duck pancakes with hoi-sin sauce, so I think I'm on his good side now, which pleases me very much. I talked a bit with
akira114 and an ex-army engineer who I think was chatting me up (hee!), but was very nice and told me lots of interesting things about his life, so that was allright. Hell, anyone who says I'm pretty is allright in my world. *grins*
Walking back to Leicester Square underground station, I saw Brian Dowling, winner of last year's Big Brother and now a TV presenter (he's actually done very well for himself, and everyone still likes him, something that certainly can't be said about any other BB contestants) walking down Charing Cross road with a friend, but he was gone so fast that poor
timmypup didn't get to see him, poor boy.
Tim invited me back to his place with Trukkle, Kurt, Xen, and Cubey, and even though I really wanted to go, I said no. Stupid, stupid Nevvie! *bashes self on head* I know it would have been lots of fun, just hanging out with my new friends and watching dvds, but I said no. What is WRONG with me? I said it was because I couldn't sleep in my contact lenses, which is true, but I could have dealt with it somehow -- I'm sure it would have been worth a few hours of discomfort for a night of fun. I know it was just an excuse because I was afraid to go, I'm just so shy of people sometimes, and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm so stupid -- I want to go because I don't want to be left out, but I don't go because I'm afraid, so I feel sad because I'm left out. I'm utterly ridiculous sometimes. *sighs*
So I came home, ate some ice cream and am now on my computer once again. Silly, silly me. :) But still, it was a wonderful day. :)
There are a few things I've forgotten to do in my previous posts, so here I go: Happy belated birthday to
mamaslyth and
ophelia666! Yayyyyyyyyy!! *throws balloons and confettii in the air* :D
Please give a warm Nevvie's room welcome to new friends
genkistar,
klclutte, and
sillypants! Isn't Sillypants the cutest name? I think so. *G*
Whew! I certainly do ramble on a bit, don't I. *giggles* :)

Three days... Well, I'll be watching it on Saturday because I didn't want to stand in line for days for tickets to the premiere, but I guess I can wait for a couple of days. But I'm really looking forward to it. Especially seeing more of Aragorn... *drools*

I know how you feel about the whole social situations thing. I am as Barcly once said in TNG (lol, I'm such a trekkie) 'the person who stands in the corner pretending to be fascinted by a pot plant.' *sigh*
Re:
BROCCOLI!!!!
I just love Lt. Reg Barclay! He is so cute and shy and utterly adorable. And reminds me of me. *giggles* (If *I* had a holodeck, I'd spend all my time in there with imaginary friends too ;-)
