That Was The Year That Was
Jan. 2nd, 2003 01:31 amIt's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life for me
And I'm feeling good...
Name: Nevvie
Event of the year: Spending an entire summer with
eyre_lasgalen and
wreibyn, the best friends a girl could ever have.
I've learned: Friendship is the best magick.
Biggest milestone: I have no idea. :)
Actually, I think it might be getting this LiveJournal. I've made more friends through LJ than I have in a very long time. Great friends, like
trianne and
shortypenguin, and my soulmate
trukkle. I've rediscovered old friends, met some incredible people, and I'm meeting more wonderful people every day. I never would have believed that this could have happened, but I'm so glad it did. And to think I purposefully didn't join for ages, just because I didn't want to be 'trendy'. Silly Nevvie. :) *hugs all her amazing friends* :)
Biggest discovery: That I am loved.
Biggest regret: My time with Eyre and Kara was so short. Also that I have not miraculously gained self confidence. Drat.
Biggest learning experience: Trying to sing and dance when my microphone had fallen off my head and down into my underwear. No, it really wasn't funny. Stop laughing dammit. :-P
Biggest waste of time: Trying to buy cinema tickets on the phone. 'No, I do not want to see a film in Bradford, I said Epsom, dammit, EPSOM!!!' 'We're sorry, but there are no more seats for your cinema in Bradford.' 'Arrgghhhh!'
Most embarrassing moment: See above. *cringe*
Funniest moment: Any time spent with Eyre and Kara. We're a gaggle of giggly girlies. ;-)
Four most revolting people: DieBitchDie!, the Psycho Hose Beast, anyone who crowds me on the train (because they usually smell and/or are playing obnoxious music so loudly my eardrums explode), my reclusive neighbours who glare at me whenever they're outside and put their rubbish on my front lawn. Grrr. Did I mention DieBitchDie? Oh, so I did. That would have been 5 people anyway. *G*
Best memory: CANADA DAY!
Best TV Show: I'm going to assume this means shows with new episodes: Stargate SG-1, Buffy, The Simpsons, Scrubs, X-Men: Evolution, Powerpuff Girls
Best Movie: FOTRFOTRFOTRFOTR (you mean there are other films?)
Best advertisement: 'Thank you, Mr Foot Long Hot Dog Inventor!' ('Soaring free...') *laughs*
Best deed: I don't know. Caring for my friends I suppose. I don't think I've done anything particularly wonderful this year.
Best part of school/work: Singing!
Best deed anyone has done for you: Being an understanding, compassionate friend.
Worst memory: Every time I cried from loneliness.
Worst TV Show: I'd say Jackass, except I don't have MTV so I never watched it (thank god). Jerry Springer's pretty awful. :)
Worst Movie: I don't waste money to see a crap film at the cinema. I did watch about a half hour of the charmingly inept film Piranha! though, that was both terrible and highly amusing.
Worst advertisement: Anything using a plastic woman with inflatable boobs to sell a product.
Worst deed: Not speaking to my father for months.
Worst part of school/work: Waking up at 5am and the 3 hour commute! ARRGHH!!
Five most important characteristics for a spouse: Clever, witty, playful, adoring, gentle.
Realistic career hope: That I'll be poor and destitute, wah hey!
Unrealistic career hope: Becoming a famous Shakespearean actress (hahahahaha)
Plans for future: Actually make a decision for once in my life. Maybe move to New Zealand.
Two things you will never do: Vote for a Right-Wing politician and have kids.
One thing you would teach your children: If I had them, I'd teach them to love learning and not to be afraid of people and things that are different than you.

He has a hologramatic device that gives him a 'normal' appearance so he can still live a regular life without fear of being persecuted as a 'daemon'. If anyone were to touch him though, they'd feel that he has fur, only three fingers, and pointy ears. Oh, and a tail. *grins*
Here's Kurt as he really looks:

(Not the most flattering picture, but it's all I could find on short notice)
And here's Kurt with his holowatch on (although it's going on the fritz again), doing a funky dance! Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute! :D

Date: 2003-01-02 03:23 am (UTC)He's a character (the main character ;-) on X-Men: Evolution, which is now in it's third series. Nightcrawler has been in the X-men comics since the 1960's, but you're right, he's NEVER been this cuuuuuuuuute. Mmmmmm. So cute. *giggles*
Go here for all the Evo goodness: http://www.angelfire.com/d20/beyond100/

Date: 2003-01-02 04:26 am (UTC)I haven't been able to see X-Men:Evolution (or, infact, anything else) since we got rid of the TV last year. May i should get it back.
Anyway hello if i haven't said hello before, although i might have done i can't remember...
Thought i'd add you to my friends list as you seemed quite cool. :)

Date: 2003-01-02 10:02 am (UTC)Hiya!
I am exceedingly cool, thank you so much for noticing! *grins and winks playfully*
Kinda cute? Ohhh he's gorgeous! He has the sweetest, most adorable expressions in the world, and is so shy and kind and silllyyyyy...*le sigh* Why can't real men be as perfect as fictional ones? *giggles*
