May. 10th, 2002 11:11 pmWoke up this morning at 5am.
'Nevvie! (well, obviously not Nevvie, but I don't feel like posting my real name ;- )'
'Flerk?'
'Nevvie? Is that you?'
'Snnnuuulle?'
'Were you sleeping?'
'Argh. No, Dad, of course I was awake at 5am. How silly of me not to realize I was awake and functioning normally at this time in the morning.'
So I had a nice, mostly coherent talk with my father this morning. Huzzah.
Oh GOD, I am never going to learn the dance break for the Noel Coward songs...why oh WHY are they making me dance! I can't dance! Its bloody obvious to anyone with eyes that I can't dance! I'm going to humilate myself and ruin the numbers for everyone else because of my complete and utter lack of dancing skills. Sob.
Sometimes I really wish I wasn't an actor. I'll never be good enough to be famous (or at least attractive enough to be famous, which seems to count more these days, unless of course you're Judi Dench), and the profession depresses me alot. There are days when I love nothing more than to perform a Shakespearian monologue, or sing a comic number, but those times seem to be diminishing, not increasing. Maybe I should have gone with my more bookish side and write books instead of acting. Maybe I still will. Feh, who knows! : )
Did a bit of shopping with Eyre on Oxford St today, and walked for what seemed like miles...bought some DVDs, new jeans and shoes, and nearly bought original Harry Potter art from a gallery off Regent Street. SO tempted! But it was far too expensive. Ah well.
Love the lovely Eyre. She is so brilliant. Have I mentioned that enough yet? *giggles*
*waves to the wonderful Imladris and Hogwarts Online people who might be reading this* : )

Date: 2002-05-12 01:56 am (UTC)Anyway I was going to answer your question. I'm co-hostess of one of the Tori Amos Birthday Bash things for RAINN-basically in August we are having a big party for Tori fans to get together and celebrate and all of the proceeds go to the RAINN charity. There are lots of them going on all over. I don't know of any planned for London yet but this is a good site with some more info and links to events like that: http://www.torifest.com/registry/index.html
It is going to be a big job! Basically there can only be one party per city so the other two hostesses and I have taken it upon ourselves to find all of the Arizona Tori fans and bring them out of the woodwork for an evening so it should be interesting ;p Oh and yes we are doing our own shirt design but there were some problems with it so it is still under debate...whenever we get the final design ideas I'll post them on my live journal site (and hopefully that will be soon!)
Hugs! Good luck with the dancing ;) I'm not much of a dancer either (unless I've had quite a few pints, but then it's scary!) No career is glamerous ALL of the time :p

(Sorry for the long post!)
