It's been Star Trek Day in Nevvie's house!

I watched All Good Things..., the final two part episode of The Next Generation, and felt very happy and squeeish indeed. TNG rocks my intergalactic socks, yo. *giggles*
And then I watched the best episode of Futurama ever, staring the cast of the Original series, and had more Star Trek in-jokes than a Jeffries tube full of Tribbles. I think I might watch my First Contact (aka the best Star Trek film ever) dvd tonight too.
I am such a sad, sad fangirl. *lol*

I used to be ashamed of my extreme geekiness, but now I embrace my Inner Geek with pride. Besides, now it's almost trendy to be geeky, so that means I'm cool! Yeahhh! Why couldn't I have been cool in High School? My life would have been so much easier. *laughs* (It's so unfair! Why do they wait until I'm 25 when 'being cool' doesn't mean anything anymore to make me cool? That's just plain rude. ;-)

Oooooooooo, Futurama! That show feeds my politics-geek streak just a little too much :) I have serious overtime guilt that my favourite recurring character is Richard Nixon (but he's funny! Hee, and the in-jokes! :D). I've not seen the episode with the whole of the Original series cast (the show gets shafted over here) -- will have to keep an eye out :)

Of course you like that series, you phenominally funny girly you. :)

In-jokes rule. I love sniggering at things that nobody else understands.

First Contact is film #8 -- the one with the Borg Queen and an incredibly buff Picard. Mmmmm. :)

bibble. Data is beautiful in this - when the Borg Queen blows the hairs on his arms and he goes goosepimply, well I could diiiiie.

And you mentioned Tribbles!!!!! I love tribbles. My favourite original episode ever. They love that cereal, is it quatrotritikalie or something?? Soooooo cute.

Naw, I'm not cool. Never was never will be.

You're the Jello Princess of Cool baby. *grins*

Aiiiiiii I know! When Data shivers and makes an orgasm face I melt into goo. Brent Spiner is just too damn sexy. MMMMMMMMMMMMM. *drool* :D

Teehee. There was a TNG marathon on today. I saw the episode where Data has sex. Very amusing. Who are the tribbles, btw? My dad was mentioning them, but I don't know who they are.

If I am remembering First Contact correctly, Data is almost human. Correct? Anyways, the Borgs always scared me. I didn't like how they were taking the Captain away. Hee, I can't believe I still remember that...

*laughs* That's The Naked Now, the one I watched today too! What an odd coincidence. :)

Data has an emotion chip and the Borg Queen grafts human skin onto his own, so yes, he is very human-like.

Tribbles are from the Original Series -- they're small, fluffy furballs that make high pitched purring noises and look like giant toupees. They breed at an astounding rate and nearly destroyed the Enterprise by breeding so fast that they nearly ruined every working part of the ship. Tribbles are coooool. :)

oooo, TNG ^^

hahaha, nice and bald! Older, bald man in uniform in space = sugary goodness. Well, not all. There are far too few good-looking bald men these days. I count Patrick Stuart among them though, so all is well!

I love TNG! and First Contact is such a great movie. I thought it was the best ST movie ever (well, tied with The Undiscovered Country, anyway...dunno if you like the old ST cast but that movie kicks ass)...now I think Nemesis is giving it a run for its money. you must see it whenever you can! I wanted to watch it again but the stupid theatre took it away too fast. *grr*

Me too! You know how he says 'worst episode ever!'? Well I have caught myself saying that twice. Arg! My favourite comic book guy bit is when Lisa is she can sit next to him on a bus:'yes, but only if you can answer me these questions three. Question the first...'

Sorry, complete Simpsons geek!

I had to stop watching First Contact because I watched it so many times I started going off it. It is possible believe it or not. It's by far the best one though. (btw, was Nemisis pants or is it just me?)

I say things The Comic Book Guy does all the time. It's really quite frightening. And even if I would never say some of the things he does, I am definately thinking them. *lol*

I haven't seen Nemesis! Don't spoil it for me wench. :-P

Oh Nevvie, just embrace the geek withing and screw being cool or trendy. Infact, if it EVER becomes cool to be a geek, then I think I'll vomit. Seriously. If all the things that make us interesting and different become trendy, then where does that leave people like us?

I know that I don't long to be cool or trendy. I'm looking for anti-trendy, really. This week I bought a soopa cool Toronto-Trendy hat, but I'm wearing it in North Bay, where it's not at all trendy. If it does happen to become stylish, I'm putting the hat out to pasture until the fad has passed. Maybe it's just as wrong to want to be counter-trendy as it is to be trendy. I don't know and frankly, don't care.

Aly baby, you're SOOPACOOL no matter where you are! At least, in my freaky world anyway. *grins*
