I just listened to My Immortal, by Evanescence. Everyone who's been waxing lyrical about it on their journals (and, wow, there certainly were alot of you) are absolutely right -- it's an absolutely beautiful song. I have no idea who this groups is (are they big in America? I'm sure it makes a pleasant change from those insipid boy bands) but I think I will have to go out and buy all their albums immediately.

I have such gorgeous friends. I saw pictures today of [livejournal.com profile] misslunakitty, who has mind blowing green eyes and looks like she just stepped out of a 1950's pinup calendar, and [livejournal.com profile] brandybuck, who is just as cute as can be -- playful, hobbity, and utterly adorable. I could go on ([livejournal.com profile] trianne has a dazzling smile as bright as a Silmaril, [livejournal.com profile] xendragon's a total hottie...etc etc), but I think you all know that you're beautiful. And even if you don't, trust me, you ARE. :)

Yesterday’s stroll around Covent Garden was quite diverting -- I found a stunning purple velvet coat that I simply must buy when I have the chance (i.e. after I rob a bank) and listened to the wackiest String Quartet in the world. The violinists would dance about and do a little jig while playing things like Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, it was so enchanting to see them having such fun, and making classical music entertaining for all the wandering tourists. I'm sure if children were introduced to classical music in that manner, they wouldn't disdain it so much.

And now, because I'm bored and can't think of anything else to say -- My Icons Explained.

Keyword: Happily Ever After

Schmendrick the Magician and Molly Grue from the best film ever, The Last Unicorn. (Okay okay, best film apart from all the other ones I love and adore. Heh. ;-) The quote is from the book/film, and I think it's beautiful. This is a pensive/content sort of icon.

Keyword: Otters are cute and fuzzy.

Because they are! I love otters. They're so me -- playful, clever, funloving, and occasionally very clumsy. Yep, that's me all over. *grins*

Keyword: Pippin Smirk

It's Pip! Making an adorable face that is smug, yet clueless. Ahhhhh, how I love him! As the keyword suggests, this is my snarky icon.

Keyword: Tig! Tag! Drop your trousers!

One of only two remaining original icons, this is a fanart picture of Pippin playing Tig, probably with me. Oh yes. Play with me Pip...*giggles* My bouncy/happy/squeeful icon.

Keyword: Molly and the Unicorn

Molly Grue comforting/being comforted by the Unicorn. My sad/showing love for others icon.

Keyword: Here in my Head.

Tori Amos picture and lyric. I love Tori. A thoughtful/melancholy sort of icon.

Keyword: Have a seat while I take to the sky

My newest and current default icon. I love this one! I've been meaning to use this Tori lyric for ages, but I could never find the right picture. Inspiration hit me yesterday, and this lovely icon was born. It's an everything emotion, because this is how I feel.

Keyword: Psycho Bunny

Hee! I'm cute. I'm scary. FEAR ME! :D

Keyword: I'm so cute

Yep, that's me. Aren't I adorable? :)

Keyword: Neverwhere

Screencap from the opening sequence of the Neverwhere BBC series. I am Neverwhere. I have been for 7 years now, I don't feel like changing. *grins*

Well, that was fun, wasn't it? *grins impishly*

Arriving Heathrow 6:30 am local time (which means, as far as my body is concerned, it's 1:30 in the morning. Ahh, time zones...).

Why didn't you say so! Can I do anything for you? How long are you going to be here? Do you want to meet for coffee/drinks/funandgames/etc? *grins*

Our plane back to the US leaves the following Saturday at 11 am, so I guess for about a week. Spring break! :) About the only really unbreakable facts I have are 1) our hotel is near the Earl's Court tube station, 2) I'm travelling with two friends who need to be in on all the plan-making, 3) two others of their good friends are going to be there Tuesday through Saturday, so we're going to be doing stuff with them as well, and 4) we have symphony tickets for Thursday (London Symphony at the Barbican, Jerry Goldsmith conducting his own film music). Other than that our plans are along the lines of, "well, these things are open from 10-6, and we want to do this this this and this eventually, and how about a day trip to Bath on Friday?" Only one of our party has ever been before, and it's not me, so we're a bit first-time touristy, only with a clue (ie; unlikely to say such things as, "Well lookie heere, these buses done have two floors!" and "I asked for chips, why did you give me fries?"), thanks to too many years of reading books by British authors.

So I suppose the much, moch shorter answer would be: I personally would live to, but use of time and itinerary are not so much up to me. If you want to e-mail (etoilepb@livejournal.com) or IM (etoilepaix) me tomorrow morning to see if we can work something out, we can at least try... (I'll be getting up around 8 my time which is ::thinks:: 1 in the afternoon for you).
