I had the most amazing time with her yesterday, just wandering around London and laughing so hard (and continuously) I thought my head would explode. She is so funny! I think I might have upset her a wee bit by teasing her about her slashy-tendencies, but I know deep down she really wants to leap up on tables in crowded restaurants and tell the world how much she loves Big Men Who Love Little Men. *giggles* ;-)
I met her at Kings Cross station ( a little late, whoops) and then we bimbled around Soho for a bit, our way usually being blocked by the war protesters, so it was a bit hard to get around. We ate a delicious Dim Sum lunch (Trinny's first, and I think she enjoyed it, except for the 'squicky' noodles I tried to make her eat -- they're yummy, honestly!) and meandered a bit more until we went to Waterloo East station to meet up with the rest of her friends that she was going with to see Ian McKellan in Dance of Death that night. She went back to her friend's house and I went to Forbidden Planet to look for some goodies. I bought a signed Charles de Lint book for me, and a Frodo Bookmark and magnet that says 'Who are these kids and why are they calling me Mom?' for Trinny. About 10pm I went to stand at the Stage Door to hold a place for the Dance of Death gang (aren't I just the nicest person in the world? Yes, I am. ;-) and was promptly heckled by a very drunk man who tried to poke me and said things like 'How much are you worth then? I know you're not much to look at, but I wouldn't mind going on the game...' *rolls eyes* I should have said something frightfully witty, but his breath was rancid, which put me off, and he was a bit scary, so I didn't do anything. He was just upset because the bouncer at the Windmill Lap Dancing Club next door turned him away. Heh. Sometime around 10.30 Trinny and her friends came out, and I had fun talking a bit with them, until Sir Ian came out. Oh, he is so utterly lovely. I took a fantastic picture of him with Trinny's digital camera, looking right up at me and smiling, it's so cute! I also took some appalling ones of people's backs and arses, but I think the brilliant one cancels them out. *grins* After all the girls had their things signed we walked to Charing Cross station to catch their train, and I got on too, as the next stop was Waterloo, which is where I catch my trains. I chatted a bit more with the other people, who's names I have unfortunately forgotten (please forgive me! You were all very nice but I am dreadful with names) but I liked very much, and then I had to say goodbye. Ahh, I miss Trinny so much already! Why does she have to live so far away. I laughed more yesterday than I had sinceeyre_lasgalen and wreibyn went back to Canada last summer. I can't wait till next time, which will be when we see BILLEH! Wheeee! :D
I have discovered a very strange thing. I am an LJ interest, which in itself isn't strange but very flattering, but I thought it was just my friendclintonswish who had me listed. Who is this other person? I have absolutely no idea who she is, or why I am one of her interests. I'm not on her friends list, she isn't friends with any of my friends...it's all very odd. Unless of course there are more of me out there, but that is highly doubtful -- if you type in 'Nevvie' or even 'Neverwhere' on Google, most of the pages will have something to do with me. Besides, I'm the only Nevvie with the Official Neil Gaiman Seal of Approval! So there. *grins impishly*
I'm not going to watch the Oscars tonight, except perhaps the beginning, as I'm quite curious as to how they're going to make this Hollywood Extravaganza a 'sombre and low key' affair. This is because a) I want to go to bed before 5am, and b) I refuse to see that skanky bitch Renee win an Oscar. If I don't watch it, it hasn't happened.
Oh, before I forget --ashfae is so gorgeous it makes me want to puke. It's so unfair! I want to be beautiful too. :-P

My sentiments exactly. It was SO cute. He walked up onstage and kissed Halle Berry, who's done the announcing. Not just a kiss on the cheer; a full-scale mouth kiss that went on for QUITE a while; she looked flabergasted. Unspeakably cute. And he had an amazingly long (he begged the music to stop interrupting him, and it actually did!) but tasteful speech. Augh. Love him even more now.
