(no subject)

Happy happy birthday to my beloved [livejournal.com profile] mrs_puppethead and the adorable [livejournal.com profile] escadevotion! And welcome [livejournal.com profile] bohemiangel, another fangirl who'll be joining the party at Collectormania next month. Whoot! Oooh, and speaking of Collectormania, even more nifty people are going now, including Alan Ruck, aka Cameron from Ferris Buller's Day Off! YEAH! Am so incredibly excited I could plotz. *giggles* (I probably will do something horribly embarrassing like bringing up my lunch when I meet Billeh. Ohhh Billeh. Please don't be upset if I spew on you, it's just a token of my eternal devotion, really! *lol*)

I've been listening to a terrific pop song by Amy Studt all day, that reminds me very much of Dawn Summers (so I know [livejournal.com profile] thehush would love it), as well as the brilliant American McGee's Alice computer game, especially since in the video she's dressed a bit like her. It's really fluffy and angsty at the same time, which is fun. I'm also utterly addicted to Evanescence -- I've been downloading all their songs this weekend and liking them more and more with every listen. The lead vocals are so gorgeous, and it's about bloody time someone good appeared in contemporary music, because frankly nearly everything now is shite. Absolute shite. And people wonder why the only musicians I like are either dead or have been around for years. *chuckles* (Well, now I can say I like a modern band. Go me. ;-)

And on a slightly Buffy related theme...I found the coolest thing! Amber Benson and Christopher Golden have been working with the BBC to create an animated horror series set in early Victorian London. The animation is by Cosgrove Hall, who made Dangermouse and Count Duckula, and the voice acting is really quite excellent, although I'm slightly biased as the unbelivably sexxxxxxxy man who played the Marquis de Carabas in Neverwhere is one of the main characters. Hee. :) Amber and Christopher wrote it, and she's also directing the series. The music is also wonderfully spooky, it's really turning out to be quite a treat. Plus Amber posts to the Message Boards! Which I think is awfully nifty. Go HERE to experience the Ghosts of Albion. Very cool. :)

I have decided that [livejournal.com profile] jrivka is bad for my health. *giggles* She brings out the NAUGHTY in me, which surely can't be good. Although it is ever so much fun. I even had a most bizarre dream involving me, Jori, Nightcrawler, and a batch of freshly made cookies. *laughs*
Also -- the delightful Miss Jori has agreed to be my Official Spankpuppet. Wheeeeeeeee! *pounceglomps and kisses her forehead happily* :D

Sometimes I think I'm too silly for my own good. Can this really be true?

Nahhh. :)

NEVER too much psilliness. :D

Wow, i dig the Amy Studt grrl & her video !

I saw Amy perform at the CBBC Prom in the Park last year, but it was a song that doesn't seem to be available online, just her and a piano. It was fabulous, and I really wish I could find it. Let's hope her album comes out soon so I can hear it again. *grins*

Psillyness is a wonderful thing. :D

[identity profile] misslunakitty.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a fabulous performance! :] If you like grrls and their pianos, i strongly strongly suggest you give Imogen Heap a listening, she's incredible. :]

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)

Imogen Heap, neh? I shall have to look her up. :)

But of course no one will ever replace my beloved Tori. Mmmmmm Tori. *sighs happily*

*squeals!* Eek! That Pippin icon is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!

I can't believe that Collectormania thing you're going to is free... that would never happen in States... not when there's money to be made.

*practices teleporting*

damn. not working.

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)

*laughs*

Well, you have to pay for all the autographs, and when I was there last year the cheapest was still £10, and the big names were around 30 quid. So it will NOT be cheap. Especially since the whole thing is really just a big dealer's showcase, to get you to buy all kinds of delicious crap you never knew you desperately needed. *grins*

[identity profile] queeniefox.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I love your icon!

*cries* Stupid exams. Stupid exam leave. I want to go to Collectormania! Didn't you say Paul McGann was going to be there? Wait! Don't tell me! *covers ears and pretends such an event is not happening*

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)

Paul will be there.

So will I.

And so will you!

Bwahahahaha.

You didn't need to study, right? :)

[identity profile] queeniefox.livejournal.com 2003-04-07 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not so much the revision as the revision classes that teachers are doing... actually they're still teaching the course right up to the exams! (arg!)

Do not tempt me. I am already going to two plays and a rather expensive concert and I will have no money if I go to an evil collectors fair!

[identity profile] illiterate.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
It is not possible to be too silly! Remember that, Nevvie-dear. Silly is lovely. :D

And as for Miss Jori, she's bad for everyone's health, but unlike cigarettes, she won't kill you unless you ask nicely.

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)

*spins happily*

Messah v.silly. Wheee! :D

[identity profile] trianne.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you sure you are not starting work with some professor in some lab? Oh well.. Sometimes I think I'm too silly for my own good. Can this really be true? - no, you are too silly for my good, Nevvie. Don't change!

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)

Well, if you like me this way, I definately won't. *smoochies* :)

*dances for your viewing pleasure*

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)

Trinny, have you been reading my friendslist? Because it sounds like you've read one of Aly's entries. ([livejournal.com profile] eyre_lasgalen :)

Re:

[identity profile] trianne.livejournal.com 2003-04-07 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Thank God for that! That was it, I have no idea how I ended up there, but that was the entry I had read. Phew, the relief. And [livejournal.com profile] eyre_lasgalen - well done!

Re:

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-07 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)

Isn't it a relief to know you're not going mad? *chuckles*

Well, not yet anyway. ;-)

[identity profile] winterswitchery.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Alan Ruck..oooh! Wasn't he in Twister?

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)

I think so. He's also the tall, uptight one on Spin City.

But mostly he's the geekycute shy boy in Ferris Bueller. :)

[identity profile] winterswitchery.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yep, that's him, he's Rabbit "There's a big crease right through Witchita. Don't fold the maps."

I've never seen Ferris Bueller :)

[identity profile] thehush.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That song is so Dawn ;) and OMG Amber's doing more directing?!! *dies*

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)

I knew you'd think so. *grins*

You should go check out the Ghosts of Albion message boards, Amber seems to update quite frequently there. I suppose I should really tell more Buffyfans about this, huh. *giggles*

[identity profile] mrs-puppethead.livejournal.com 2003-04-06 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, my love! *smooches*

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-04-07 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)

*cuddlesmoochglomphappykissies*

Anything for you my sweet. :)

[identity profile] bohemiangel.livejournal.com 2003-04-08 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
thanks for the welcome *g*...on the upside...if you spew on Billy at least he'll remember you. :D
