neverwhere: (Nevvie + Neil = Bliss)

I am still in shock that my little piece of fanfic pie was so well received. (You liked it, you really liked it! *Oscar speech squee*) And no, that's not false modesty, I truly am surprised and more than a little amazed. Or perhaps you're all just flattering me obsequiously, and I'm too blind to notice. ;-)
I suppose this means I have to write more now, doesn't it. Oh dear. *meep*

I have new icons! After months of the same old pictures staring at me all damn day, I finally have something new to show. Well, okay, they're mostly old icons, but I had lost them and only just found the CD they were on, so it's kinda like having new ones. This may not seem like interesting news, but *I'm* rather pleased about it. *grins*

And speaking of interesting news...I had a threesome with two extremely hot musicians last night.
HA! You almost believed that, didn't you. *smirk* (Yeah yeah I know, you didn't really believe such an outrageous lie, as we all know that Nevvie has the sex life of a toaster.)
Alas, I can not claim such felicity, but my nympho kleptomaniac alter ego Fritzie can. It's so depressing when your fictional creations get more action than you know you ever will. *laughs*

There's a forest fire raging in the mountains, and even where I am, 150 miles away by the beach, it is quite literally raining ash, the air smells of smoke and the sun has been blocked out for days. I sometimes feel like a character in 1602, as these would seem to be portents that the End is Nigh. Yeesh.

Yesterday I was actually quite social and attended a mini-meet with a few people from [livejournal.com profile] hp_california, which was fun. We talked and squeed, ate scrumptious food and theorized wildly about Potter goodness. I was just happy to have an excuse to leave my flat for once. *giggles* Thankfully, it was worth it, and I am definitely looking forward to our next get together at Disneyland in two weeks. Does anyone want me to buy them some mouse ears? :)

Oh, before I forget, please welcome new friend [livejournal.com profile] kayselkiemoon, who likes all the same things as me and is therefore exceedingly cool. *grins impishly* And you all must join [livejournal.com profile] ask_trashheap, it's just so Fragglicious! :D

Well HEY NOW. My toaster just so happens to have a very active sex life. He gets it on hourly with my coffee maker, and let me tell YOU! Having to deal with crumbs in your Folgers is NOT the best part of waking up!

Dude, I KNOW! Two of my four RP characters are in long-term relationships, and every day I give them a sullen glare and mutter choice adjectives under my breath ;)

Love the new icons, BTW!

Woah!

Agreed. The character that's taken up residence in my frontal lobe has a different woman every night... whereas I have the same man once every four months, if I'm lucky. I suppose it's better than nothing, but you at least have the option of meeting new people.

Luuuuuurve your Neil icon!

you have an alter-ego named Fritzie? Both my dad and my brother are named Fritz, and they were called Fritzy when they were young. ^_^ makes me happy to see this name.

I must admit jealousy for being in a situation that compares to anything in Endless Nights, just for the association with Neil. but most of the portents are not too fun, and i wouldn't want to be there when they happened. twould be nice to turn into random golden animals, though. I am having such fun reading 1602 and finding out who's who in this version of the marvel universe. some of the names - like peter parquah - just crack me up! *grin*

and my thanks for the welcome - it's not every day I hear my praises sung in such fashion ;o)

Ah, I need to work on my US geography -- I heard about the fires in California and immediately started panicking about everyone online living in the state, forgetting just how large it is. I'm glad your area's okay, anyway.

You should get Fritzie a LJ. I'm sure she's not as cute as you (andNEILomg *fangirls icon*), but it sounds as if her exploits would be fun to read. :D

Hey!

Don't mind me... new to LJ and doing the rounds to try and figure this thing out. Blame [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist, if you must. It's all her fault.

*nods* I need to get me a alter ego like that, to balance the depressingly mundane real person that I am. Mhmm.

"Fragglicious" is sadly underused in today's society. Imagine - kiddies today have no idea what that means. Poor deprived little souls.

Anyway... *shakes hand* nice to meet you!

Grin, impressive title. I haven't decided how to feel about the third movie yet. I'm sure I should feel some way before I go to see it, seeing as I took a class on Tolkien in college and it would just not be right for me not to be prejudiced for or against it. Can anyone else really say they wrote a paper entitled "Death and Deathlessness in the Lord of the Rings"?

Anyways, have you read Wheel of Time? Robert Jordan is amazing, and if you're looking for a cult following, that's the place to find it. The last few books in the series (currently at 10 if I remember correctly) do get SOMEWHAT slow, but they're by no stretch bad. The only problem is that when the author is getting old, and each book is 700 or so pages, you want to be damn sure he finishes before he dies...

Aes Sedai suck
Matrim is a great name
