Today was such a glorious day. The kind that only seems to exist on postcards, where you can actually see the mountains, instead of only half remembering them as things vaguely seen through the layers of smog. It almost made L.A seem beautiful. Almost. ;-)

Last night darling Megan invited me to a 'puppy party', hosted by her friend Doug Jones, who just happens to be an in-demand actor of prodigous talent -- he was Abe Sapien (the fish guy) in Hellboy, worked with Tim Burton on Batman Returns, and is flying off to Prague on saturday to film the new Doom movie with dishy Kiwi Karl Urban. How cool is that! He also turns out to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my entire life. Everyone at the party was ever so friendly, they welcomed me right away, and even though I usually freeze up in a room full of strangers they made me feel totally comfortable and at ease. Which believe me is a rare talent. The party was at Doug's friend Hunter's house, and was absolutely gorgeous, right at the bottom of Griffith Park, behind the Warner Brothers studios. Hunter does voice overs, and we watched the first episode of a new anime series she just finished recording, R.O.D -The TV- (Read or Die), and I ingratiated myself by knowing more about the series than she did. *giggles* (The OVA was just shown on Cartoon Network on saturday night, and I think they might show the tv series she worked on starting next month on Adult Swim.) Mostly we just talked and laughed a lot, and quite literally felt the love -- Doug and all his 'puppies' can't get enough hugs and squishes and adoration. I haven't been showered with so much affection in a very long time, and it was absolute bliss. Mmmmmm. :)
Yayyyyy for lovefest parties, Dougie, Meggy, and me. Yayyy. *G*

In other party type news... BILLEH is going to be at ORC! Aiiii! *flails*
Of course I'm going, but the real question is, do I buy the stupidly expensive 'Wizard's Circle' tickets so I can have the best seats, best view, best everything for the Billeh, or do I save money and possibly regret not having the greatest time ever. I know, I know, it's a ridiculous conundrum. I know I should save money for my UK trip (and I am, honestly), but it's sooooo tempting to splurge and guarantee some sweet Billehlovin'. Argghh.

I really am a silly Took, aren't I. *giggles sheepishly* :)

BUY WIZARD TICKETS SO YOU CAN SIT WITH ME PLEASE!

If Billeh is there, can Lijah be far behind?

*laughs*

It's exceedingly tempting, believe me.

I'd like to know if you have to pay to get into the cabaret (or whatever it is) and special dinner thing as well, or if you just get better seats in there too. It might be worth it...oh, I don't know. Part of me is screaming BUY NOW DAMMIT, but the (slightly) more rational part is saying 'wait and see'.

Gah.

I bought Wizard's Circle JUST IN CASE Elijah showed up. Not even knowing for sure if he would.

Because I'm insane.

Also because of that horrible line I stood in during Comic Con. That sucked.
