I do believe there is life on other worlds - life can be bacteria, it does not have to be complex and certainly doesn't have to come down in spaceships to probe unsuspecting country bumpkins in intimate places. ;- )

Date: 2002-05-29 11:10 pm (UTC)That should be OIL OF OLAY and I forgot Salamander as a nickname. I also LEFT my parents friends laughing. I told them about how one of my old college roommates and I use to give each other a hard time. The last story I told was how the two of us scared another friend.
You see, when we cleaned our room, I would rarely straighten up the area under my desk. It was my archive area for old school work and books and as far as I was concerned, it didn't need straightening most of the time. (I did my homework on my bed - the desktop was too small for my engineering projects.) Anyway, my roommate would tease me about something attacking me from under there one day - like something serious would make it to our fourth floor dorm room.
One Saturday after we finished cleaning, I decided that I would go ahead and straighten things up. I had dug through that box earlier that week while in a hurry. Another friend had wandered in to talk to us while we were cleaning. As I knelt down to pull out the box, I had a mischievious prompting and suddenly let out a blood curdling scream. My roommate didn't even act shock - she just started yelling at me, "I TOLD YOU SO! I TOLD YOU SOMETHING WOULD GET YOU SOMEDAY! I TOLD YOU!!!" Meanwhile, visiting friend was looking at my roommate as if she was insane and back over at me in concern, with both hands over her heart. By this time, my roommate and I were laughing so hard we couldn't speak and our friend took the opportunity to berate us for giving her a heart attack.
The really funny thing about all of this was that most of the time my roommate and I were so quiet that other people would knock on our door just to make sure we hadn't died on them. I think the whole floor thought we had lost it that day.

Actually though, I have worked on many more shows, but was more often behind the scenes than on stage.

You're living there?? HELP ME! I'm applying to grad school there and desperately want to go and am LOST LOST LOST and can't make heads or tails of things and have so many stupid questions that NOBODY is answering and AUGH, will you answer stupid American questions for me??? Do!!! And then I can move to the UK and we can run around London or something!!! That would be PHENOMENAL!!!!!!
Well, okay, technically I'm applying to Oxford, the University of Wales and Bangor, and the University of Wales at Aberystwyth at the moment. So only one out of three is in England. But hey, it counts!
