Which Alan Rickman Character Are You?
Oh wow, not only am I a gorgeous Alan Rickman, but a gorgeous Alan Rickman with purple hair! *swoooooon* :D
And I do love to tell stories. :)
Saw Austin Powers: Goldmember tonight. There were parts that were pure genius -- the first 10 minutes were especially brilliant, I haven't laughed so much (and loudly!) in ages -- but the film as a whole was a bit of a let down. Foxxy Cleopatra was definately the best PowersGirl yet, I adored her sassy attitude and fabulous wardrobe. And Scott was supercute as usual, Dr Evil is always a treat, but Austin wasn't his normal silly self, and I really can't stand Fat Bastard or Mini-me. But what really put me off was the blatant product placement -- I don't really have a problem with something like the Shaguar advertising Jaguar cars, because it's an intrical part of the film and makes the car look really great, so why shouldn't we go out and buy one (if we have the money of course)? I just couldn't believe the amount of background advertising AND in your face useless product placement, for Motorola and Pepsi and Heiniken. Its sad but true that films really have become 2 hour adverts. Ah well.
But like I said, the beginning is beyond brilliant. Go see it now. *grins*
Am going to try and order tickets to see the deliciously talented (and oh-so-swoonable) Phillip Quast at the Donmar Warehouse next month. And
Still can not believe how bloody hot it is here. Swear I saw part of me melting into the pavement yesterday. *laughs*
I need my own portable air conditioner...or perhaps just luscious Elfboys with palm fronds to follow me around and fan me...hehehehe ;- )
If you're wondering what the strange song I'm listening to know, its from this: -- an incredibly cute anime kitty singing a sweet song about wanting to find love. It's sooo adorable. : )
I should really sleep now. Tomorrow Aly, Kara and I are going to the Tower of London, the British Museum, and something else touristy but I can't remember what it is now. We're trying to cram in as mushc touristy fun as possible before they go back to Canada. I will miss them so much when they go.
