Another week passes by...*whooosh* There it goes. :)

I just watched the most brilliant thing on television -- an interview with two of my favourite people, Robin Williams and Stephen Fry. What heavenly bliss! *swoons*
Robin was on fine form, talking a mile a minute and postively frightening the host Parkinson with his mad behaviour. I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. And then my beloved Stephen came on to talk about his new book and could barely say a word because Robin kept doing silly things. Poor Stephen. At least he got to call Robin insane a few times, which seemed to delight him very much indeed. *grins*

Squishy hugs and a big THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to fill out my little questionaire. I have such wonderful friends. *squeeeeeeeze*
And because I promised, here are your delicious cookies! Yum yum. :)

In other news, [livejournal.com profile] shortypenguin and [livejournal.com profile] shiveringjemmy are feeling better today, which makes me a very happy bunny. *noodles*

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] orangelover and I have decided to run away together to become Porn stars. No, seriously.
From now on she'll be known as Brownie Frances, and you can call me Ginger Peninsula. *giggles madly* ;-)

I finished reading Forests of the Heart, a new-ish book by one of my favourite authors, Charles de Lint. And my god, it was amazing. It's certainly the best work he's done in a very long time, the story just swept me away, with it's blend of Celtic and Native American myths, everyday people and true, believable magick. I think [livejournal.com profile] pouk23 and [livejournal.com profile] caersidi would like it very much. I can't wait to read his newest novel, The Onion Girl, which finally gives his most famous character Jilly Coppercorn her own story. I wish he'd go on a book tour so I could finally meet him and tell him how much I admire his work, and to thank him for teaching me to find magick in our mundane world.

I joined a Michael Palin community! Whooot! [livejournal.com profile] palinlove
I can't wait to see him again at the end of this month. Go me!

Somebody PLEASE remind me that I need to finish my History of Middle Earth lesson for Hogwarts Online. Thanks. *G*

I saw it in Edinburgh when I was touring the UK in August, at the premiere in the Edinburgh Film Festival. It was VERY exciting!!! I kept looking around the audience to see if Billeh was there too (since the producer and the director were), but -alas!- I did not see him.

It's a short-story (30 minutes) set in the future about a guy who's a sniper in a military station, except he's the only one in the station and he gets all lonely and afraid of dying. Poor thing. But you see a lot of sweaty muscle shots and there's even a masturbation scene! Squeee! Oh, yeah, and the acting is pretty good, too...

Forests of the Heart was wonderful - and Onion Girl was a dream come true. I read an interview with de Lint bit before Onion Girl came out; he was talking about why he waited so long to write a Jilly novel. He said that when you write a novel, you basically take the main character and drag them through lots of hard times and troubles, and he liked Jilly so much that he had a hard time doing that to her. Which, of course, endeared him to me even more ;). In any case, Onion Girl is wonderful. You can really see how much he loves Jilly, how she's his favorite character - it's everything you could want from the Jilly book, and it's probably one of my favorites.

Oh, and I was Viggo in the Silly Fellowship quiz ;).

Hehehe! Michael Palin! I've probably told you this before, but the lurve must be spread with him! He's the cutest!

MmmBilly indeed! I'm mmmpervy as you probably saw. ^_^ Hm... Glad to be Dom...not so glad to think of what I must have said to get "pervy".

'Glad to be Dom'...well, that just says it all, doesn't it. *smirks* ;-)

Do you know who the fingernail eater is?

From: [identity profile] ellen-drell.livejournal.com
Hehe, the nail-biter is our nerdboy Elijah-dear. He's a chimney of smoking, nubbin fingers and all, with a knack and guzzling a good wealth of coffee. But he's quite cute, despite it all.

Anyway, check out his nails in LOTR. It's gross.
Poor Frodo fingers.

Ohoho... ^__^ I am glad to be Dom indeed. My new nicknames are Sblomie, and Cheeky Monkey. ^_~

hmmmm, another book for my growing list, for I have long studied myths and magick. Otherwise, just a quickie hello.

From: [identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com

Hiya! *grins and waves* Even quickie hello's are always welcome. *hugs* :)

I do hope you like the book. I think all of de Lint's work is fantastic, but this was the best full length novel of his I've read in a very long time.

After you replied to my post on omwf I came and had a ook at your journal so: hello!

Parkinson last nigth was just the funniest thing I've seen all month! (realises it's only the 6th or the month)Well, for a very long time. Shakespeare porn! I haven't laughed that hard for ages -the man is completly insane!

Hellooooooo! :D

I rarely watch Parkinson, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch the chaos that I knew would ensue with dearest Robin on the show. And with Stephen as well...ohhh, there was MUCH swooning in my house last night. *grins*
I do hope he'll be going on a book tour so I can meet him at last.

Just reporting...

...that in the Fellowship actor quiz I'm Elijah. Funny, I think I ended up as him in another quiz too. What can I say, I'm a geek ( and proud of it! ;-). My oral fixation goes more in the direction of candy though..!

Random thought of the day: Can you have a Livejournal even if you don't have a life?!

Blablabla... *yawns* I'm the Internet Police of the Children's Room in the Library. And, I'm hungry too!
