Oct. 6th, 2002 10:09 pmHave I mentioned yet how much I love Dave Gorman? He is truly the cutest, silliest man in all England. *giggles*
I just watched the new Buffy episode, wooohooooo! All hail Kazaa! :D
I was actually a bit disappointed with most of it, not because it was a bad episode, but because I had seen such glowing reviews my expectations were too high. I really like the sexy new principal, although the new Sunnydale High campus looks more like the outside of the LA zoo than a proper high school. *giggles*
But the ending...oh WOW, that was truly amazing. I was left speechless, I can't believe what happened! Series 7 looks like it's going to be fantastic. :)
And now I'm going to say something I never thought I would...Spike is gorgeous. *grins*
I've always liked Spike, but for his humour ('people are just Happy Meals on legs'), not because he's delicious eyecandy. All that has changed however. I don't know why, but the hotness of James Marsters was unbelievable in this episode. Maybe it's because he was really sweet and pathetic and I just like that sort of thing, maybe it's because his hair looked slightly different...all I know is that my heart was pounding and I started to swoooon. Gahhh, I can't believe I feel this way over Spike! I wonder if it will last. *laughs*
(Don't worry Xander my love, you'll always be my favourite Buffyhoney. Well, apart from Giles of course. *giggles* ;-)
Continuing with the Buffy theme (gosh, I've talked about nothing else all week! I haven't been this involved with Buffyness in years...) I am currently downloading songs from Anthony Stewart Head's album Music for Elevators. So far I've listened to 3 songs, and they are great -- not at all what I was expecting, more techno-jazz-pop than rock and roll, very synthy and evocative. I am liking it very much, and not just because its Giles. *G*
Actually, if someone could recommend so new music to me I'd really appreciate it. I think I've been stuck in a bit of a musical rut lately (I've only listened to Tori Amos, The Divine Comedy, Loreena McKennit and various musicals for months now) and am desperate for something new. Unfortunately the brief snippets of contemporay music I've heard have made me feel absolutely ill, they are so appalling, so I haven't had much hope of finding anything decent. In case you don't know, I like 60's rock, good modern rock like Garbage and U2, rennaisance, classical and celtic music, singer-songwriters, and bands that make me laugh, like Moxy Fruvous and Barenaked Ladies. So, any suggestions? :)

I think it's about time to wander downstairs to eat some dinner and then go to sleep. Goodnight Nevviefans! :)

Re: Music recomendations! Ooo
Date: 2002-10-06 05:14 pm (UTC)Rainbow did a song called "16th Century Greensleeves" which has nothing whatsoever to do with the original ballad (it's about murdering a tyrant king, of all things). This sounds like something I'm gonna look into on Kazaa tonight.
