neverwhere: (Nevvie + Neil = Bliss)
neverwhere ([personal profile] neverwhere) wrote2003-10-26 04:45 pm

Kiss me, I'm Hobbity!

I am still in shock that my little piece of fanfic pie was so well received. (You liked it, you really liked it! *Oscar speech squee*) And no, that's not false modesty, I truly am surprised and more than a little amazed. Or perhaps you're all just flattering me obsequiously, and I'm too blind to notice. ;-)
I suppose this means I have to write more now, doesn't it. Oh dear. *meep*

I have new icons! After months of the same old pictures staring at me all damn day, I finally have something new to show. Well, okay, they're mostly old icons, but I had lost them and only just found the CD they were on, so it's kinda like having new ones. This may not seem like interesting news, but *I'm* rather pleased about it. *grins*

And speaking of interesting news...I had a threesome with two extremely hot musicians last night.
HA! You almost believed that, didn't you. *smirk* (Yeah yeah I know, you didn't really believe such an outrageous lie, as we all know that Nevvie has the sex life of a toaster.)
Alas, I can not claim such felicity, but my nympho kleptomaniac alter ego Fritzie can. It's so depressing when your fictional creations get more action than you know you ever will. *laughs*

There's a forest fire raging in the mountains, and even where I am, 150 miles away by the beach, it is quite literally raining ash, the air smells of smoke and the sun has been blocked out for days. I sometimes feel like a character in 1602, as these would seem to be portents that the End is Nigh. Yeesh.

Yesterday I was actually quite social and attended a mini-meet with a few people from [livejournal.com profile] hp_california, which was fun. We talked and squeed, ate scrumptious food and theorized wildly about Potter goodness. I was just happy to have an excuse to leave my flat for once. *giggles* Thankfully, it was worth it, and I am definitely looking forward to our next get together at Disneyland in two weeks. Does anyone want me to buy them some mouse ears? :)

Oh, before I forget, please welcome new friend [livejournal.com profile] kayselkiemoon, who likes all the same things as me and is therefore exceedingly cool. *grins impishly* And you all must join [livejournal.com profile] ask_trashheap, it's just so Fragglicious! :D

[identity profile] airemay.livejournal.com 2003-10-26 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, am so excited about Disneyland! Mom gave the official yes. :D

Of _course_ we liked it, you wrote it! its a must! *hughug*

Well HEY NOW. My toaster just so happens to have a very active sex life. He gets it on hourly with my coffee maker, and let me tell YOU! Having to deal with crumbs in your Folgers is NOT the best part of waking up!

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-10-26 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)

*LOL!*

Even a toaster has a more interesting life than me. Sob! ;-)

I know!

We're the perfect couple. He just didn't realize until it was too late, and now, alas, he has other marital engagements. Phoo. ;-)

Mmmm, Nevvie n' Neil. What a lovely combination.

Hun, if you have the sex life of a toaster, then I have the sex life of a slice of white bread.

Hmmmmmmm........that makes for some interesting possibilites

I'm so pervy tonight!! *runs off in nasty giggles*

But Aly, you're pervy EVERY night :-P

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-10-26 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)

Toaster and Bread...the perfect combo?

Dude, I KNOW! Two of my four RP characters are in long-term relationships, and every day I give them a sullen glare and mutter choice adjectives under my breath ;)

Love the new icons, BTW!

Agreed. The character that's taken up residence in my frontal lobe has a different woman every night... whereas I have the same man once every four months, if I'm lucky. I suppose it's better than nothing, but you at least have the option of meeting new people.

Luuuuuurve your Neil icon!

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-10-27 11:12 am (UTC)(link)

I may have the option, but am seriously lacking in opportunity. And people who find geeky hobbit lasses attractive. *G* (Why oh WHY can't I just marry Neil. *sob*)

Toasters are rather hot.. :)

sing o muse of portents and much pleasure

you have an alter-ego named Fritzie? Both my dad and my brother are named Fritz, and they were called Fritzy when they were young. ^_^ makes me happy to see this name.

I must admit jealousy for being in a situation that compares to anything in Endless Nights, just for the association with Neil. but most of the portents are not too fun, and i wouldn't want to be there when they happened. twould be nice to turn into random golden animals, though. I am having such fun reading 1602 and finding out who's who in this version of the marvel universe. some of the names - like peter parquah - just crack me up! *grin*

and my thanks for the welcome - it's not every day I hear my praises sung in such fashion ;o)

Ah, I need to work on my US geography -- I heard about the fires in California and immediately started panicking about everyone online living in the state, forgetting just how large it is. I'm glad your area's okay, anyway.

You should get Fritzie a LJ. I'm sure she's not as cute as you (andNEILomg *fangirls icon*), but it sounds as if her exploits would be fun to read. :D

NEVVIEANDNEILTOGETHERFOREVER!

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-10-28 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)

Fritzie does have an LJ -- [livejournal.com profile] kleptotart. :)

She's the randiest member of the [livejournal.com profile] kit_kat_klub rpg. *grins*

And yes, her exploits are very entertaining. ;-)

[identity profile] myf.livejournal.com 2003-11-02 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey!

Don't mind me... new to LJ and doing the rounds to try and figure this thing out. Blame [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist, if you must. It's all her fault.

*nods* I need to get me a alter ego like that, to balance the depressingly mundane real person that I am. Mhmm.

"Fragglicious" is sadly underused in today's society. Imagine - kiddies today have no idea what that means. Poor deprived little souls.

Anyway... *shakes hand* nice to meet you!

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-11-03 12:34 am (UTC)(link)

*chuckles*

I blame Soupy for a great many things. ;-)

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Thanks for dropping by my little abode. Didn't I see you in [livejournal.com profile] broken_glasses (or perhaps one of the other myriad of bibliophilic communities I belong to ;-)?

Do stay, I promise I shall entertain you with my wit and wisdom. Or at least my insanity. *grins impishly*

Whew, am glad you're okay. Was going to write and ask; I only just heard about the CA fire.

[identity profile] angelislington.livejournal.com 2003-11-03 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)

Neil and I really are the perfect couple. ;-)

And yes, I'm fine -- no fires down here. *G* It's been raining the past two days, thank god, so the danger has mostly passed. I am driving into the heart of darkness (Claremont) tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be able to see whether or not it's truly stopped.

I'm funny? REALLY? *bounces excitedly* :D

Why thank you!

Dorks rule. I am an unashamed QUEEN OF ALL GEEKS and welcome any out and proud dorks to join me in my insanity. ;-)

Kiss me, I'm gollum

[identity profile] tivadar.livejournal.com 2003-11-22 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
Grin, impressive title. I haven't decided how to feel about the third movie yet. I'm sure I should feel some way before I go to see it, seeing as I took a class on Tolkien in college and it would just not be right for me not to be prejudiced for or against it. Can anyone else really say they wrote a paper entitled "Death and Deathlessness in the Lord of the Rings"?

Anyways, have you read Wheel of Time? Robert Jordan is amazing, and if you're looking for a cult following, that's the place to find it. The last few books in the series (currently at 10 if I remember correctly) do get SOMEWHAT slow, but they're by no stretch bad. The only problem is that when the author is getting old, and each book is 700 or so pages, you want to be damn sure he finishes before he dies...

Aes Sedai suck
Matrim is a great name

Why hello there, strange and interesting random person who showed up on my journal. *grins impishly*

I would certainly like to read your 'Death and Deathlessness' paper. Sounds intriguing. :)
I tried to teach a comparative mythology class based mostly on The Simarillion, but although I did looooads of research, I'm a terrible teacher and got next to nothing done. Wheee. *giggles*

I have not read the Wheel of Time, although I do believe it's one of the things my dear friend [livejournal.com profile] ashfae was always trying to get me to read. Shall investigate further.

What brings you to my humble abode, O Tiv? :)
