There are no words.
There truly are no words to adequately describe this experience.
This film is as close to perfection as it is possible to be.
I'm still wearing my Trilogy Tuesday commerative badge. I don't feel like taking it off. I keep looking at it, stroking it, like it's my own One Ring, even though it's just a laminated piece of paper on a long black string. I cried six times during the film, and I've been sobbing continually from about 20 minutes from the film's end till now. And I don't know when I'm going to stop.
I just can't believe it's over.

Date: 2003-12-17 11:50 am (UTC)It's on the dvd. THANK GOD.
As a cinematic experience, regardless of what I feel is missing from the books, I thought it was sheer perfection. The right amount of humour mixed with pathos and non-gratuitous, extremely exciting action. And I never felt like I was being manipulated to cry, it just came so naturally because of the deep emotional attachment PJ helped me feel towards all the characters. Especially Pippin. :)
