Happy Festival of Lights, my Jewcy friends. *mwah!*
Yesterday I went back to Hollywood for the last time to film Graham Norton's special 'A Very Campy Christmas'. I brought
undomiel_tari with me, and as she had never seen the show before I think she was a bit shocked, but enjoyed herself anyway. *grins* The guests were Tony Curtis and Pamela Anderson (bleaugh), and the house band was the delightfully camp KC and the Sunshine Band. We had brought photos to be featured on the show, but they didn't use them, so alas, once again my dreams of tv stardom have been dashed. I did see myself several times on the monitors, so at least there's that. (Although I am making some award-winningly stupid faces, wah hey ;-) We also met a charming couple who oddly enough live just down the street from both of us, which was neat. And another Long Beach resident who was on the show confessed to pleasuring himself while stuck on the motorway, had his house decorated with christmas lights that say 'Jack jerks off in traffic!', and I'm positive it's a house I recognize. I wish I had looked for it when I got home last night. *giggles*
And so the Saga of Graham comes to an end. Awwwwww. :)
Because my obsession refuses to die, I thought I would let you see what it is I'm still wearing around my neck. My Trilogy Tuesday pass is so stylish, neh? The badges are mine, from TORN's both at ComicCon. Aren't they great? I should probably make one into an icon.
Everyone also received a special commemorative film frame by Sideshow Weta, which looks like this, and is already selling for outrageous amounts of money on Ebay. How can you sell something that helps you remember such an important day? Sheeesh.
And now I must get ready to endure a family gathering at my aunt's house as we celebrate this ohsofestive holiday season. Huzzah. Thankfully my family is rather small, at least here on this side of the ocean. But any gathering involving Jews and food is pretty much guarenteed to be filled with sound and fury, signifying nothing. Except perhaps the arrival of lunch. :)

I tried to find a picture of 'The World's Fastest Menorah' from Conan's show the other night, but couldn't find one. If you perhaps come across one, save it for me! I'll give you kissies if you do. *grins*
I miss you :(

Date: 2003-12-21 02:41 pm (UTC)I've got Gandalf & Bilbo, Elrond & Aragorn, and Merry & someone's back, but I haven't quite figured out whose yet.
And I'm quite jealous of your TT pass. We got tacky yellow wristbands that said VIP. Sigh. Calgary cinemas are teh cheap. However, we got pizza, so that was a plus.

Date: 2003-12-21 02:43 pm (UTC)I haven't taken it out of the box yet. Let me get back to you...;-)

Hooray for celebrations, lots of food and small familys ;)
Love your Pass and badges (the ideal accesory with any outfit) and all your new SG1 icons too :D
Shame you won't be featured on the crimbo special, seems they can't handle your sheer hobbity POWAH!
*pouncenose*

Date: 2003-12-21 09:35 pm (UTC)There are definitely two times which you can see me, during the first interviewed Prom person, I'm in the uppermost corner, and when Graham rushes out in his Baywatch outfit, I'm making insane faces at him. Wheee. :)
It airs 28 December, I believe.
SO MUCH FOOD. Ugh. My aunt turned 10 pounds of potatoes into scrumptious latkes. And of course we just had to eat them all. *giggles*
*nuzzlesmooch!*

And I might be going to South Coast tomorrow for last minute shopping, but I'm not sure. Want me to let you know in the morning?

Date: 2003-12-21 11:01 pm (UTC)And I would LOVE to dash off to South Coast for last minute shopping- I need to pick up a couple of stocking stuffers for my husband! I would be available sometime after 5:30ish, so if you're around in the evening, let me know! :)

Date: 2003-12-21 10:48 pm (UTC)I also went to Trilogy Tuesday! It was the greatest. I got my badge hard laminated so it would last forever. I’ve got it hanging right in front of me on the wall, next to my mass of DragonCon badges, where I can look and sigh in pleasure at the memory. If you’re interested in my Trilogy Tuesday experience, it’s here:

Date: 2003-12-21 10:55 pm (UTC)Helloooo! *grins and waves cheerfully*
I've talked about my Trilogy badge in my past three journal entries. I am so very sad. *laughs*
And I also brought a DeLint book with me! How cool is that? *beams* (Jack of Kinrowan, in case you're interested. ;-)
Heh. Bat-weasels. That reminds me of an episode of Kim Possible which spoofs the Batman tv series and conventions, with 'The Fearsome Ferret and his sidekick Wonder Weasel'. Yes, I am a geek who watches cartoons. Geeky things give me a happy. :D
Welcome to my humble abode. Please feel free to stay a while and enjoy my madness. *grins impishly*

Date: 2003-12-22 12:33 pm (UTC)It's difficult to say who was scarier, Tony or Pamela. Tony was a better guest, but they both look like Pod People. *giggles*

I made sure to buy a shiny new first edition the day it came out. I'm exceedingly obsessed about ANYthing Neil like that. As I'm sure you'll find out. ;-)
You already knew I was cool? *eyes you suspeciously* Have you been stalking me? :-P
(If so, WOOHOO! My very own stalker. How brilliant. *giggles*)
So far my best Channukah pressie has been a Shakespearean Insults t-shirt. Bwahahahaha.
And yes, of course you may friend me! I absolutely love making new friends. That's what LJ's all about! *hugs* :D

I wonder if I have any more lurkers hiding about...*pokes edges of her journal with a stick* ;-)
