Last year, I was standing above the Thames, facing the Houses of Parliament, and cheered with thousands of other people as Big Ben rang in the start of the new year.

This year, I sat on my bed (the only other piece of furniture in my miserably untidy flat apart from the computer desk), holding a bottle of root beer and watching other people having fun on t.v, and when the big ball dropped in Times Square to signal the start of 2004...I just sat there, sobbing pathetically.

That's how I greeted the new year. As a pathetic, lonely failure.

Please don't let me end the year the same way.

A suck arse job is better then a no job at all and it can be a handy stepping stone. It's always the way if you have a job then you will get loads of other offers but the minute you leave a job it is shit hard to find another.
I must admit I'm in better order today so that makes two of us :) Lets see if we can make it two days running.
